Losing Hope In competitive TF2

I dont know shit about mobas, but im guessing LoLs popularity made the genre's popularity as an esport at least in part lead to dota 2's massive popularity. Maybe a similar thing will happen and tf2 will become the "dota 2" to overwatch by being the older, more established and in many people's opinion more challenging game.

cant connect to pugchamp servers :(

whenever i try to connect to a pug champ server my game crashes as soon as I finish connecting. I can join any other kind of server just fine so I am really confused. I've restarted my computer and verified my cache. I'm not sure what to try next.
