#109 Serpents qualifies for DreamHack Summer in News
GazWhat is this nonsense?
If I want to improve, I don't pick someone who is miles ahead of me to practice with. You can't improve if you get flawlessly 5-0'd by a far, far more experienced and skilled team.If it is a open/mid tournament, alright. But you can't ask beginners to play with semi-pros or veterans.
You don't see people going to the gym like "Yesterday I benchpressed 50 KG, today I will go for 80 KG!"

The whole point is that if a lot if people sign up, it is much more likely for you to lose to teams roughly around your level (or at least not leagues above you) besides maybe once (if it's double elim)

Cups/tournaments are definitely a good way to improve; matches always put more pressure, even if you're not going to win the whole thing.

Yeah something like that works. It was just slightly more convenient (maybe faster too? I don't remember).

TriangleflufnCollaideI have a better idea, let's make a 6v6 plugin for mge, so we finally can practice team fights

...
Find a team to scrim that will do just mids

at that point just play the damn scrim

It's actually pretty useful to practice mids. I think there used to be some plugin for this.

liasI hope everyone appreciates the work and time you put into creating this website, but I don't think many people are appreciative how overboard the site is going (only allowing authorized players to join, map ban system, having to pick your own class initially, a broken sub system etc.) I think when people say "irc was better" they say that because it was simpler and faster. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that in the future you guys should focus on making the website faster and fixing bugs, rather than adding new features.

Also the "x seconds remaining" sound no longer works for me

Please listen to this. It's honestly a much bigger problem than you guys realize. I'm not really sure why you would not always listen to advice that people provide. When the vast majority of players suggest the same idea, I don't see a reason not to listen. However, you guys add things that people don't repetitively suggest as an effective idea, which as a result, has shown to make the site even buggier and/or not practical.

#30 Make UGC Great Again in TF2 General Discussion
saamI think the pants-on-head retarded decision making of Kumori is a pretty big reason that the league is dying. She's made so many wrong decisions over and over and over again it honestly is starting to feel intentional.

I don't think the league would have ever gotten to a point where this was necessary if someone who had any idea what the fuck they were doing was in charge.

#75 ESEA Season 22 Invite team list announced in News
MumaHellbentThe most standout lesson I take from bird noises is that playing invite requires dedication and seriousness. i know my team has it, that's why i joined them in the first place. werent you cut from bird noises because you lacked the right attitude, dedication and seriousness?

He just admitted to that. That's what he means by saying the most standout lesson from bird noises (in other words, from getting cut)

#161 Updating cp_snakewater in Map Discussion

There are so many more shadows on this map than the previous version of snakewater and also every other map. There's a shadow everywhere a person stands. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but it's a pretty big issue. There are literally no hiding spots anymore. Every single corner you can possibly stand in, you either see the person through the wall or you see their feet. There are shadows where teams/players push. For example, if somebody grabs the hp in saw, you can see their shadow from mid. If somebody is hugging the any part of the wall on the ramp in lower, or even just pushing lower, you can see his shadow from anywhere on 2nd.
