With minimal scrimming (and the roster they used for grand finals) they still could've beaten at least the last two teams before they died. I'm saying that roster because that's the roster that was supposedly "not clearly better than every open team" whether or not they scrimmed. However, their roster most of the time wouldn't have been able to compete in invite, so obviously they belonged in open.
Mason, that's why I said at least; upsets are possible.. and if that's the roster they had...which they wouldn't have had, there's no point of even mentioning this. It's also why them playing in open doesn't matter. Like shrugger said a while ago, it happens all the time in csgo and actually increases the competition and improvement at the top of the division.

lol 6c couldve played invite and done pretty well with that roster. I honestly don't care if people sandbag; even when I was in open and IM, I didn't care much, but what you're saying is just illogical.

samjain98i mean yeah shade had bad internet and that definitely contributed to froyo's loss but you'd be dead wrong to say that ascent wasn't playing well and didnt deserve the bo3 win
Ascent obviously deserves recognition that they played well. However, no team ever "deserves" a win under the circumstances of not a 100% fair match, ESPECIALLY if they were losing before a given change. Regardless of whether or not ascent would have won, "deserve" is not the right word.
