i'm not going to tell you what to do but if you want consistent quality and fragvid features such as in game settings, hud etc then you should consider only accepting demos. recording things yourself also gives you much more flexibility.

Personally I put CE in my own custom rather than using lawena (it doesn't activate unless you run with -insecure so doesn't impact normal usage of tf2) so you could try that maybe? its a bit awful but it works for me at least.

are you sure lawena isn't detecting it as a HUD? i don't see why it would make a difference but it has a tendency to do that sometimes and deleting resource/ui could work.

i'm trying to offer the guy some genuine advice (based on experience, yes). i guess some of you don't really see people as people and think you're talking to nothing online but i don't really believe anyone is a bad person and i think its sad when things like this happen and people leave the community.

whether this is a sincere apology or not i doubt most people will take it seriously (i somewhat believe it personally) unless you actually stick around and prove that you don't want to keep being toxic to people anymore.
i get it and i know how stressful it is to have people rag on you and how that increases the likelihood of toxicity, and if you think leaving is the best thing for you then do it but its important that you ARE serious and you prove it or you'll never be taken seriously again.

Different things have value to different people and the important thing is that you feel accomplished and satisfied in yourself.
