couch_sitterRed_So I've been looking at an SSD for months now but I can't decide on one to buy. Since it's cyber monday I figured I'd try and find a 240GB SSD for under 100$. Any help on what manufacturer to buy? Not really familiar to use this sort of stuff.
try Amazon, they've got stuff like this going on all day:
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB for 99.99 + probably shipping
If you wanted to aim for UNDER 100 instead of right on 100, the Ultra II is 85 right now.
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-2-5-Inch-Height-SDSSDHII-240G-G25/dp/B00M8ABEIM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417487833&sr=8-1&keywords=sandisk+ultra+II
Also, has anybody else felt like this is a pretty lacking Cyber Monday? I've been checking out deals all day and all I've jumped on is an SSD. Seems like this is a really good time for storage and memory but not so much anything else.

It's probably better not to update the OP. Anybody who lurks through will have better chances going to the latest post. Awesome thread.
I've been waiting for this to go on sale for ages, and I only figured out about this deal minutes AFTER I purchased the Ninox Aurora, so hopefully I made a good choice. :V
Finished! I'm interested in what you're writing and would love to see your finished product.
I'm a first year student taking Intro to Java right now. Happy that c# can now progress to multi-platform but kind of frustrated that I won't see much use out of Java. At least I'm still learning fundamentals. :P
Reminds me of Garm3n's old quake hud, which was awesome.
Tino_is it worth the 10$?
Yes.
Something like this would never survive in the Midwest. :(
All you people and your fancy monitors. Are CRTs still cool or have most people moved on to 120Hz/144Hz monitors?
My speakers are ancient and I don't have a mousepad so I just settle for a playmat used for card games.
icTusI can't believe no one has said Vietnamese yet ;_;

I'm also part of the massive pool of kids who learned Spanish in school,
but I'm terrible at Spanish so I consider myself to know 2.5 languages.
The G100s is cheaper than the DA and is 2500 dpi, which is close. Never used the mouse myself so I can't say how it works out with grip but I think it's similar to the WMO.
More recently than a lot of other people have been around TF2. Complexity, Quantic, and The Experiment were all teams that I watched.
Rudimentary snare drumming (DCI, WGI), both teaching and performing, but studying computer science. Looks like there's a lot of CS people in the TF2 community, which is not surprising.
