We made it up to 16!!! Shout-out to Lay who is now looking for a 930 scrim, mb. But otherwise I managed to cleanly get 8 more teams involved. I decided not to re-draw the other groups, and amongst the 8 teams that joined I drew those into two groups. I was 50/50 on this, so if people feel like I was wrong I can fiX it. It is more work though and might as well leave it settled so I can do other stuff, like more detailed match-up schedules.

The RGL.Main Pre-Season Social

Yyyaaaoooooo!!!!

Due to the week delay in the RGL.gg season, the Portland Burnsiders decided to put together a little mini-tournament with some of the other teams in the Main division. While there are no prizes on offer, the little bit of organization and coverage should add gravitas to the scrims while also getting everyone a little more familiar with some of the teams in Main.

This was very hastily planned, and the format is pretty limited, so there are only 8 teams involved. Apologies if any of the Main teams I didn't chat with feel left out, I just started contacting people we'd recently scrimmed against until we had 8.

The format will be as follows: Teams will be drawn into two groups of 4. For simplicity's sake we'll be sticking with 5-cp maps. The teams in each group will play each-other with the mp_timelimit set to 45. The first to 5 points will be counted as the result, otherwise it's the final score and draws are allowed. "World Cup" scoring will be used for the group stage If it is a quick match, teams are welcome to use the rest of the match time as a 2nd half.

Coverage:
Casters are encouraged, but not particularly confirmed yet. I've spoken with some outlets that are interested and hopefully we can arrange coverage of all the different Group A and Group B matches on different streams. If anyone is interested in getting STV information and co-ordinating casts lmk. There will be plenty of games going on. Players are encouraged to stream. I don't have a punny hashtag and specifically avoided calling it a MiXer, but shouting out the Burnsiders somewhere would be appreciated.

Toronto would be a great place for a LAN and definitely collaborating with a college could provide the community with a great venue.

The Portland Burnsiders work on their second single is progressing rapidly. We're looking for a lady to record the hook but otherwise things are already very close to being done.

While we're convinced we're gonna have the best rap song of the season we thought it'd be fair to give some of the other teams in RGL a heads up. We wouldn't want to be accused of not having given our opposition a chance to be prepared to compete.

Who will have the best bars? Reference the hottest memes? The smoothest edited accompanying frag vid?

Only time will tell.

I def remember the incident, and it wasn't a huge deal but he did look like a jerk for his actions. Sometimes you gotta take the L, admit a mistake and move on, but it seemed like Ruwin himself couldn't just get past the fact some people where annoyed at him for his failed joke. He's active on Twitter again and has been doing some gaming, I wonder what he could have accomplished though if he had managed to move past this incident and kept growing his impact in TF2.
