AvastsmoboI don't believe he is even remotely electable. No moderates will vote for him, and the democrats will vote for their candidate.
But if he secures the GOP ticket that already means that he has been judged electable by the, on average, more active voters in the United States. I sure as hell don't want him to win but I feel like you guys aren't grasping the true horror of the situation as this isn't some sort of ghost story of Trump winning the primary.
He is DOMINATING numbers wise in the GOP voter base, regardless if you feel he is electable or not many, many voters definitely think he is. It is an actual possibility this man will get the ticket. Him even getting the ticket is absolute madness.
It doesn't matter if he you think he is electable, what matters if he is elected.
he's also competing against a large number of other candidates, something neither of the dem candidates are dealing with. Even if he gets the nomination, it doesn't mean he holds a majority of either the Republican party or the conservative/moderate electorate, it just means that the trump supporters are the biggest group out of all the GOP groups. Similar to how the far right has locked congress with the Tea Party, the moderate right can easily, and seems ready to, lock the GOP out of the white house.
On the other hand everyone hates Hillary so its possible the youth and black turnout will be low this election and if that's the case even if all the moderates swing left you'd still have trump win just because all the racists tend to be older aka part of the most consistent voting block
