#4 "Through the Years" by rj in Videos

Hey Garda, thanks for the post. :]

ibpretty nice movie aside from the somewhat obnoxious editing in the first minute and a half.

Yeah, I was considering getting rid of the fancy overlays and effects - but I decided to keep it in just to experiment. Anything you think I could change for next time, assuming I was to continue doing that style of editing?

#13 RJ- lft soldier in Recruitment (looking for team)

Is a great person to call my twin. :3

He has great DM, and a very solid mindset on the game; he also seems to be well-rounded, as I see him play any class in pugs - I think that is an overlooked skill.

LuckyLuke You can't switch resolutions in the middle of a demo it looks like, the demo starts glitching then (any way to reset this? I think when these glitches happen ingame you just record a demo and stop, then it's fixed but as you're already playing a demo this is impossible).

Just a suggestion: If a demo is glitching (ie the characters are making sounds and not moving, shutter doors are broken, animations are "gliding", etc), try go backwards a few ticks. The game has to reload the game-state from that tick, so everything gets reset.

Its a only a suggestion though, since it has been a fix for my demo playback problems in the past. I have multi-core rendering on, but turning it off might help depending on your computer specs.

I hope I've helped!

After trying my best at getting everything squared away, I can't go to this thing. :'(

Any knowledge of how to return my ticket? I've never used the GXL site before.

Though I can't vouch for them myself, I would suggest checking these guys out. They were just a few posts below this one.

I hope I've helped. :)

#1 Mid-Open Medic LFT CEVO in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hi all, I'm emkay. (waiting for my forum name to get changed)

As the thread title suggests, I'm LFT as Starter Medic at a Mid-Open level.

Past Experience:
ESEA S14 “The Scoop Troop” Starter Scout/Roamer, Mid-High Open.
CEVO S4 “Simple Machines” Starter Medic, High Open.

One point that is important to stress: I'm most likely going to be playing Highlander next season, so I would prefer to have a captain that is flexible with scheduling, and is okay with me playing Highlander in general. I can scrim any day except for Fridays and Saturdays before the next Highlander season starts; and can be flexible if need be.

With that being said...

What am I looking for in a team?
-I'm looking for players who are dedicated to improving, willing to watch demos, and can give and take criticism repectfully.
-In terms of people's personalities, I'm looking for people that simply want to play the game – we can talk about meta, play other games, whatever – as long as they are laid-back.

Pros and Cons about me/my Medic play:

Pros:
-Very confident in my ability to survive. My dodging and surfing is one of my biggest strengths.
-Solid gamesense to go alongside said survivability. Counting ubers isn't a problem 9 times outta 10.
-Calm calls with sound reasoning.

Cons:
-I can be very overcritical of myself. I might praise myself for a surf, but I'm usually never satisfied with how I play.

If you're interested in trying me out, feel free to add me through my TFTV page above, or here.

#6 Scout LFT Mid-Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

An awesome guy to play with on a team, and an awesome guy in mumble to boot! He rings for a ton of teams, and is always willing to improve.

The least you could do is try him out! He definitely has what it takes.

Has a wonderful voice, is always fun to hang out with in mumble, and has an amazing attitude when it comes to improving.

He has the starting experience - the least you could do is try him out.

A lot of what I was going to say has already been said by Jas.

Many thanks for making this LAN an amazing time! It was my first "big" LAN that I've been to, compared to my usual college-LAN parties.

Huuge shoutouts to Pudding, Max, Matt, Urban Shakedown, Dryillic [hell, all the kids from DPI] for being such awesome people to hang around when we weren't playing video games.

Shoutout to stabby for giving me my high five. ^__^

Other big ups go to London for organizing the in-house tourney, and eXtine for casting some of the games.

Hope to see you all again in November!
