I've had the same Plantronics GameCom 780 headset for 2 and a half years. It was $80 when I bought it, and I've seen it for the same price even nowadays.
I honestly can't compare it to other headsets I've owned, but I would say the velvet ear cups are really comfortable - and the surround sound is solid. I wasn't expecting anything when I bought this, and I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm gonna reDL the game - I'll likely come back to this thread and post my SN.
I'll tell you right now, I'm very new. I think I might learn the basics of the game first (unless someone is willing to teach).
Chaaz,
Even if you may not know me, I think I can speak for myself and possibly some others -- I just want you to be happy. You deserve it.
Even if I don't know your story completely, or your perspective - I just want it all to work out for you. I want you to be happy.
I know that may not be what you want to hear - but you already have lots of personal stories in this thread -- even though I may not have many stories of my own, I just want to try and help in the best way I can.
If simply knowing that there are many others in this community that want to help (but can't find their way to do so) makes you feel any better, I hope I've helped.
eXtine big news post that is awesome~
So... Dunno if anyone is already making plans on streaming the 2nd tourney, gimme a holler.
I know that there will be at least one person streaming the tourney - I'm sure lots will stream their POVs.
I don't know how serious this Google-Doc-run tournament is, but I'm up for casting it if anyone wants one. I'm sure you wouldn't mind the same, eX.
goldfishvery well made, but there arent enough airshots
I was expecting a lot of them from DmGod. :(
hbox with the big rests on darrel - sorry for the late post.
london_callingcons: we'll need to decide our teams and have someone keep track of standings, run LAN servers off of our own computers (or get lanfest to let us use their servers ourselves, but they've been pretty stubborn about that in the past) and somehow coordinate at the event who is playing who at any given time.
If we do need to run the server ourselves, I'd be willing to run the server off my laptop - hell, I could likely have that run in the background and give the tournament a cast, too. (If I'm not playing that match or whatever).
It might not be the best setup for the tournament, but it at least gives you all options to consider. :)
london_calling~post~
I'm also up for trying to help. Even though most people know about running servers and such, I might be able to help in one way or another.
Edit: I forgot a word.
Streams:
- Stream mostly TF2 content
-The only thing I stream is TF2. If I'm not in game, I'm talking about Tf2, or editing a TF2 video. I do plan to stream other games such as Darksiders, Thief, L4D2, and many others.
- Stream consistently over the course of the week
-Now that my streaming is all set up (after many weeks of issues), I plan to stream almost daily with team scrims and off peak pugs and whatnot.
- Provide a link to your stream
-http://www.twitch.tv/rjdottf2
- Provide a brief description of your stream
-I stream from time to time, mostly team scrims; I also stream myself doing video editing, demo reviews, or just general gameplay in TF2 such as Jumping, Surfing, Ultiduo, Pugs, etc.
- State your country of residence
-USA
- Give a brief background of your league/division/team history
-Played in UGC HL starting in S7, still current. Mostly Spy/Sniper in Gold/Platinum.
-Currently playing CEVO-O Medic, but have also played ESEA-Open Scout and Roamer.
If the response here is that I simply need more time streaming after this post, I will certainly work towards doing so - team scrims are a large amount of my time spent in the game, so I'm sure I wouldn't have much problem with it.
Thanks for the consideration.

A solid dude, and is crazy at scout. The least you could do is try him out.
I can play med or scout on the tourney teams. But I can play anything else at an open level, which might not be saying much. ;_;
vileDevonno offense but why do we need MORE inhouse pug groups of people of the same level?
seems equal to the skill ceiling of justplay pugs / tf2mix
pugs aren't just about getting games in to get better. it can be about community or just having fun.
Was just about to mention what vile said.
These pugs are great. Solid map rotation that is usually voted on, Griff is an awesome leader, and everyone has a good time when we pug.
Join up! :)
Looks I'm just about good to go - saved my seat at K14. Figured I would save the seat now and refund if it doesn't work out.
I'm excited! :D
