theres also https://github.com/vixus0/demopan, which is cross-platform(works great in linux and mac)
JarateKing-amazing hud-
dude, i desperately need to know how you made the chat have no background.. ive tried everything :\
in hudteamstatus.res theres a control called "chargeamount". im assuming this means medigun charge but it doesnt seem to do anything. having a medic charge display would be lovely, anyone know the purpose of this control/how to get it to show up?

new scorbord
IIRC the only reason to cap is if youre worried about overheating or power usage -- the more fps the better! im not sure about the hitting the cap causing input lag thing but ive heard reputable people say its true

thanks so much! i guess i musta messed up something last time i tested, thats way more similar than i expected. i wonder why outlining text on the linux client looks so bad compared to the windows client...
if someone wanted to do it on a macintosh, thatd be cool although idk how many tf2 players actually run on osx
omniI was under the impression that font sizes were only an issue for Macs because of how Macs render fonts.
ive had problems before with font sizes/baselines being different between windows and linux machines, unless i did something horribly wrong last time i got my hands on a windows pc and tested my hud
hey, im a linux user that makes huds, but i havent released one yet because im not sure how to fix font sizing problems on windows :( can someone with windows (preferably running tf2 at 1366x768 because thats what my resolution is) run tf2 with this hud and take a screenshot for me? comparing it with my screenshot should let me fix font problems between windows and linux versions of the game. obv ill report back with my fidings.
my screenshot(what it should look like, but windows makes the font sizes all wrong):
anything broken by the new update? the voting hud has a new element but other than that i havent seem to have any problems
this is partly showing off to the show off your hud thread but also id like a bit of advice:
where should i put the pause menu options on my main menu?
like this:
or like this:
also ignore the fact that most buttons dont have icons yet, this menu is a WIP
this creates a border with a 1 pixel thick white border, but i would like its background to be black as well. is this possible without the use of custom materials?
is there a way to prevent the engineer building status display from being stuck on the top of the viewport while dead? i feel like im missing some simple ypos somewhere
edit to prevent double-posting:
how do i go about embedding custom .vtf files in my hud? i tried just plopping em into /materials/vgui/replay/thumbnails/ but everything i do just makes the missing texture pink checkerboard :\
Wiethoofdface2face-snip-Change "item_ydelta" in ClassLoadoutPanel in the top section to move them up or down.
all that does is change how far apart the item slots are in the y direction, can anyone help with moving the loadout preset buttons(A,B,C,D)? if it isn't possible i'd like to know, im sure this is a problem you guys have run into before
is it possible to move the A, B, C, and D loadout preset buttons? im sure you can't move them up or down but i seem to remember being able to move them left or right...
