Geel9flameValve will definitely capitalize on this. Valve is in a position like Google was with Android phones, where they can afford to sell hardware at a loss, with the intent of making their profits on the software.
Even if Valve sells each of the HTC Vives for a loss, if they can secure themselves the market share, and keep VR software distribution on Steam, it will return profit later.
Who knows though, I'm excited.
You forget that HTC needs to make a profit too.
whats stopping valve from giving them %es of software sales

what do you mean these guys didnt?
do i need to fucking write in the imaginary esports handbook "dont ddos the enemy team during a match" or "don't stream snipe your matches" or "don't fucking COMMIT LEGAL CRIMES"
please, give me a break.
I don't care if it's 6 months or 5 years, I personally and Valve DEFINITELY does not want these guys to EVER be the top story of any game of theirs, or representing any of their products in any way in any near or distant future, and that is 100% justified.
ARE YOU COMPARING TAKING AWAY SOMEONES CS ACCOUNT TO FUCKING LIFE IN PRISON
do you honestly think people havent gone to jail for the SAME THING in other organized sports and that this is the first time an esport match has been fixed?
valve needed to punish these idiots. they couldve made all of the money they won in their dumb as fuck scandal by literally streaming for a few weeks as they were/are top NA CS players.
They abused the ONE THING in their life they had any respect in. These nerds LITERALLY DEDICATED THEIR LIVES TO CS and abused it. This is literally no different than an NFL quarterback throwing an interception on purpose in the 4th quarter to win a box pool his coworker bet on.
I don't think theres any organization in this country or world that gives a second chance for insider trading. people go to jail for insider trading. pretending they 'didnt know better' or 'wouldve thought twice if they knew "the rules"' to me, is a joke.
SO MANY people have dedicated themselves to esports... casters, journalists, tournament organizers, players, streamers, and these clowns took it upon themselves to illegitmize and undermine the one thing every one of you who play competitive games stands for in your day to day life.
everything about what they did screams incompetancy and a blatant lack of respect for the game they were playing and honestly people with that low of moral comprehension and standing have no place in an industry that is doing its best to grow and legitimize itself in a world of haters and parents who look down on people for 'gaming'.
FUCK
/end rant.
daily reminder that insider trading is illegal regardless of the context.
yeah im at work ill upload it when i get home, just google hltv 2411z color profile and it should come up. i think the website had 4, 2 for the T 2 for the Z and 1 of each was 120/144
theres an article on hltv about this monitor, it has AWFUL out of the box color settings but the 144hz profile they linked on hltv is really good. I use that + 80% digital vibrance in my nvidia settings and its really good looking now.
make a highlander subforum and give me the option to never see any posts from it in my sidebar, easyyyy
yeah mumble has always had interface layout settings, i just prefer stacked
Bulowflameso is pyro dodgeball
Is it though? I didn't know that there was any sort of competitive format with organisations designed to facilitate it. Please link me to one, I would like to play some competitive pyro dodgeball, and what better place to hear about it than the inclusive home of competitive tf2?
for arguments sake.
https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Tournament_Medal_-_RETF2_EE22_Dodgeball_Tournament_(Season_1)
so is pyro dodgeball.
edit: im not anti highlander, just like i don't think any of the admins of this site are. this website being 6v6 oriented is what makes it good in my opinion.
in case anyones wondering what im using now at the end of the day, my game actually feels really good, then randomly doesn't but im SURE steam is the cause
