feat. yoshis island
is there any particular reason we have to make tf2 6v6? i'd put forth the argument that say, 5v5, is more practical for tf2. First of all, it means less $$$ to send teams to lan, which is definitely a good thing because at least in the short term we're a community funded league. Anything saying one format is actually better than the other is simple theory, but wouldn't 5v5 make tf2 even more fast paced? a single pick means more, meaning teams are more willing to go off of that pick than suffer through boring stalemates. iirc 6v6 as a competitive format was decided on back in like 2007, so if we're reexamining things, why not the number of players per team?
after googling cm storm recon (which is more research than anyone in this thread will do), I've found out that it has a perfect sensor at 800 and 1600 dpi (you don't need higher than 1600 tbh) and it doesn't really have any internal issues. The same goes for the g400, which also has a perfect sensor.
However theres more to mice than sensors. If you can you should try out the cm storm recon and see if you like how it feels. Most of the problems that people have with the recon are due to its shape and size, and also it's apparently thick and heavy cable. You should also try out the g400 and see how it feels as well. The main issue with the g400 at this point is that its cable easily frays and apparently, you can't get it replaced anymore if it does.
flippersWHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING SMOOTHS!!!! GODDAMIT
spam valve with a detailed bug report instead of bitching about it in an update thread and you might see it fixed
would this be open to NA teams? The prize pot is in pounds and the region thing in the top right only has europe as an option
I thought it was a chinese knockoff of esea at first
if you fix the splash problems or whatever on the traintracks at mid then i'm all for it
Incredible group of dudes. Also by joining you get to play in sandbag pugscrims so it's a pretty good deal.
It could just be because this is a new map, but imo the distance between mid and two is a bit too much, and mid seems pretty hard to push. You could alleviate this by making the changes limbo suggested to mid that make it more closed, making the chokes between second and mid open chokes instead of tiny shutter doors, and cutting down the yard in front of second, possibly by bringing the point closer to the building between second and mid, and cutting out enough yardspace that the second-mid building and the last building actually connect.
you also have a lot of shutter doors. I in general don't like shutter doors due to the problems they cause (legend of enigma). they give a distinct disadvantage to players with bad routing or high pings, and they should be used sparingly.
I also agree that your map is very very flat, especially at mid. I don't have any suggestions, but try experimenting with the terrain a bit so scouts have slopes and stuff to jump on.
was fun
