RawrSpoonSetsulIf your cooler can handle it (or if you delid) then overclocking haswell can give you anything from 4.2 to 4.8 GHz depending on the CPU. The range is a lot wider than with Ivy Bridge but Haswell @4.2GHz will perform at least as good as Ivy Bridge@4.5GHz, which is usually the maximum overclock you can get with air cooling on Ivy Bridge.
tl;dr
Worst Case: low oc, same performance as Ivy Bridge
Best Case/no oc: Haswell >>> Ivy Bridge
->Go for Haswell (the 4000 ones)
I'm running an Ivy Bridge (3770k) at 4.6 GHz and it runs so ridiculously hot I had to get a closed water cooling loop for it (Corsair H100i) and it STILL hits 80C under load. I highly highly doubt that you can get 4.5 GHz on air cooling
The H100i doesn't perform significantly better than the best air coolers in terms of temps.

povohatGood news for lightboost enthusiasts, there is now a custom utility for enabling and toggling lightboost strobing on compatible monitors, even on AMD cards!

don't know who made it but that should at least give them a starting point. a larger sample size would be good but better than nothing
