But that audio was created to sound 3D. The goal of virtual surround is to make what would be regular audio sound like that video does.

game developers could implement it directly into games if they wanted to, which would render this useless. The problem is, they haven't.

I like accel because I can have lower sensitivy for aiming but can still turn around super fast which is often necessary in tf2.

Razer has a new software that is supposed to emulate 7.1 audio through stereo headphones, similar to cmss-3d and dolby headphone. If you don't have either of these available to you, it may be worth a shot. Razer's implementation has the ability to be custom tuned to your headphones/ears. I'm skeptical given razer's track record, and the preview they have make it seem like they intentionally made the non surround clip sound as bad as possible.

It is free until the end of the year, although they do provide an option to donate to the Child's Play charity if you wish.
