the main goal of this was to let peoplw kno that competitve TF2 exists. weve moves passed that and now people who dont even play TF2 are aware that comp tf2 exists, theyre just completely uninterested or think its boring/ pubbers pretending they dont like the idea of ‘tryharding’ when really theyre daunted by the fact that they arent as good as banny
go talk to the top scoring pubber with the unusual hat and ask him why he doesnt play
u cant just fix the system 4 years later and expect them to care, unless they gain hats or some shit for playing comp but i dont think valve would ever go that far
like they know about tf2lobby now and a lot of pubbers have a fair amount of games on that but are still uninterested and tf2lobby is offering the same if not better experience of what we want matchmaking to do
this update btw took valve like 2 years. they spent 2 years making some shit that just made the situation worse
so its smarter to focus on an update that made the game as a whole more interesting, not even just 6s but an update that would have a knock on effect on 6s. i think it would be more important if we communicated with valve with community approved weapon ideas (like the LG)
the whole game needs fixing, not just 6s. the best updates would effect the whole game at the same time, with gunboats as the obvious example of wat im trying to tell ya...
its also a better option for valve because we can take it into our own hands and even make the models for it. we say this is what we want it to look like, heres the stats and heres why it needs to be in the game which is much clearer and reduces valve fucking it
its not even like they failed the semester either. off the top of my head there was like 90k (or 40 cant remember) players playing and out of that huge number not even 12 are playing and they spent 2 years on this project its wayy beyond a flop its a complete embarrassment to the game and to valve themselves
