NA had tonnes of lans each year (ESEA, GXL, FITES) before EU started getting stuff like dreamhack and GA. Personally I think we should ban NA from going to any lans for a few years to make it fair.

it's possible that fps_max made your sens feel different slightly if it's set at something low like 60. it does normally add input lag since the game "sleeps" if it's above the fps rate

by default felik does this to the mouse:

m_filter 0
m_rawinput 1 // Forces the use of raw mouse input.
m_mousespeed 0 // Disables windows mouse acceleration, leading to more precision.

unless raw input was off before, or you disabled ingame accel yourself, i think it's just placebo or something else external

edit: oh wait i fucked up, you said you were using chris's. by default chris's doesnt do anything though it has m_rawinput 1 in, but commented out
