first of all, he wears diapers. i was at his place like a week ago and good lord he literally have them next to his bed

update: got a nice tama superstar with 4 zildjian cymbals (new beat hi hat, sweet ride, A custom medium and projection crash) for 1300, planning on playing some garage rock/punk/surf stuff (i have a demo "album" on spotify which might showcase the style i'll be aiming for a bit better)
gib mic recommendations for overhead?

Console-Would highly recommend picking up a microphone for the snare if that is not something you're already considering (just a guess based on your cart). Personally I like to put a relatively high threshold on the snare if I'm running overheads, so I can really get the attack sound out of the snare
If you need recommends the bands I'm in use E604s for toms (if/when you grab some in the future) and an Audix D2 for snare, and both sound excellent
was planning on using the SM57 for snare
also i looked at some second hand stuff and this one guy selling his drumkit has written about selling it because he wasn't good enough to make it into his career and now i'm crying

SnackHave you looked into the second hand market near you to see if there's cheaper, better options? You'd be surprised what great steals you can find second hand if you're a bit patient. Same goes for the microphones and mixer.
NoJuuAlso agreeing with the other two, a lot of this stuff will be cheaper and totally acceptable second hand
I'll see what I can find, don't have access to a car for a while but I'll hold off with the purchase of the drums for now then.
