playing maps with bots aren't very helpful imo unless for a warmup. i'd play mge or dm depending on which one you prefer more, because i see people with both really good DM who play both modes exclusively. any mode that improves your movement is good. with that said, all of that stuff needs some application, so i'd also be playing pugs and scrims as well.

you don't have to spend hours a day grinding DM, though. quality over quantity. if you spent a little under an hour grinding DM/MGE and some sort of movement map, played a pug/scrim a day, you'd improve a lot better than mindlessly grinding. develop some rhythm, have a loose schedule, that helped me the most. personally, i dont think you will just plateau grinding the shit out of DM, I think you will eventually get worse, so I'd spend my time smartly with that.

are servers working for anyone else rn?

didnt Faint buy muffinz a 144hz / discuss the possibility of going LAN / give you "some" sort of publicity for being a member of their team? plus they payed 40 dollar league fees for presumably 8 players... im not arguing that it's an unfair deal, but can you really shit on them that hard for a 3 month gamble that has a $415 payoff?

this has happened a few times to me, but if you die on offense/defense right before the other team captures/gives up a point and spam a loadout swap bind, you instantly spawn into fowards/back spawn. idk if that was always a thing because im only playing casual now for a while

i bought a contract but couldn't redeem it, restarted tf2 and now can't access my backpack/servers :(

i really (might) like the changes to the pyro, and contracts are always fun. the balance changes seem fairly good to me, although I think some more fundamental changes should be made, but just my opinion. I think what's concerning to me is that if valve considers this to be a "mammoth" update, and that these kind of updates will take 1 year and 4 months to happen... it would take Valve 5-6 more years to really get the game where I think it should be, and there isn't really time for that.
