There's 2 people on the TFTV Ammomod server... so the answer is yes.

#5 Nametags not showing up? in TF2 General Discussion
AuraMixIt's a bug and Valve will fix it on Tuesday April 30th.

Actually, Valve isn't going to do anything to fix it. It will be fixed as a result of moving everything TF2 to Steampipe.

#9 Forum chatbox? in Site Discussion
blueethough I'd prefer something other than Steam group chat. Last time I used it, it blinked in the taskbar after every message, I only want that when people say your username like IRC clients

There's a setting to turn it off, although it won't blink upon a mentioning of your name.

shlanerwhat about /j #tftv

Forgot about this. Just put this in a mini IRC client and put it somewhere on the homepage, or below the forum index.

A Steam group chat would be easier. I don't know if Enigma would be willing to make one for the site.

#7 Newbie Mix, HUD and P-REC Steampipe Question in Q/A Help
AznBoizBut don't you have to turn the folder into a .Vpk thing for it to work?

No, it works just as a folder. Steampipe reads custom VPKs first, then custom folders, then official VPKs, then the rest of the tf folder. Anything in the root tf folder (instead of custom) will only be loaded if a file of the same name wasn't found in the custom folder or the official VPKs. This means that custom maps and plugins like P-REC (when it's fixed) should be able to be loaded from the root tf folder, but a HUD wouldn't.

That's how I understood what I've read about Steampipe. Regardless, I'd keep everything in the custom folder. It's much easier to look at and organize.

#3 Newbie Mix, HUD and P-REC Steampipe Question in Q/A Help

1. Newbie Mixes are generally held on Saturdays from 9 pm to midnight Eastern Time. This is 6 pm to 9 pm Pacific Time. Occasionally, they will be held on Fridays at the same times.

2. You put it in common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\HUD\[HUD folders here]. The "HUD" folder could be any name you like, but HUD, in my opinion, makes the most sense.

3. P-REC is currently broken on Steampipe. It is not known when it will be fixed. When it is fixed, it should go in the custom folder as well.

#1 What would get you playing new maps? in TF2 General Discussion

I'm fucking pissed because of the non-pugs tonight so excuse my possible rantishness.

So I've hosted the New Map Pugs since late last year with Power Pugs, and February in a separate group. Since then, there has been a decrease in both the skill level and the number of people. It all culminated in tonight where at most 10 people showed up after multiple announcements and most of the players who showed up being unknowns. I am lost on what to do now. I feel like it's hopeless and that I should just stop hosting pugs.

We did manage to get one map out of these pugs though: Edifice is a great map (in pugs) and is worth trying out in scrims.

However, it's just one map.

Phi recommended that I ask the community on what they'd like to see to test new maps in pugs/scrims, and about custom maps in general.

So if you could respond to these questions, I will love you forever

1. What would you like to see before testing new maps for 6s in pugs and scrims?
2. What are your thoughts on custom maps in general?

Thanks for reading.

#68 New Map Pugs are returning! (again) in TF2 General Discussion

Actually no we're not. Not enough people showed up, even after waiting an hour. Also the skill of the players has decreased every night.

I don't know what to do anymore. These pugs have gotten worse every night they've happened. The last two weeks have especially been bad, with the pugs dying out after one map. This is the first time the pugs have just not happened since I started the new group.
