milehighmilitiaThe new start menu is sorta silly but its not that big of an issue. 8 works fine otherwise and there is no legitimate reason to avoid it.
Except if I have Windows 7 so the performance improvements are not significant enough to upgrade.

The only way TF can become popular competitively is if a TF3 of some sort comes out. People have this mindset that TF2 is just a non-serious pub game, and it's caused by how Valve markets the game and the weapons they add. Maybe if a 6s matchmaking system is added, competitive TF2 would become more popular, but the fact that we ban a lot of the weapons is a major setback. Hopefully if Valve decides to release a third TF that they work closely with us to make sure weapons are balanced, that there's 6s and Highlander modes, etc.
