#73 Coaches Needed for Newbie Mix! in TF2 General Discussion

The problem is that most of the experienced players are always away over the weekends, and too many of the remaining players have no interest in coaching (Invite Pugs seem to run during Newbie Mixes often). The same problem happens with New Map Pugs. I would host pugs during the week, but everyone is scrimming so no one will come. The same would happen with Newbie Mixes. So we're basically stuck with the lower-level players as far as helping new maps/people go.

I actually try to schedule pugs on days that Newbie Mixes are not happening to get as many high-level players as possible. Sadly, when we have everyone doing their own thing, few high-level players even show up to these things. This will be how it is until the community gets big enough, and we get too many invite players to count that want to coach/test new maps.

#12 Newbie Mixes: Offclassing and How Can We Improve? in TF2 General Discussion

32hzI feel like people should learn to play their main on last. But, knowing how to deal with a heavy/pyro/sniper on last or anywhere else is pretty important, but I think learning to play as your class is much more important. I honestly think it shouldn't be allowed. Almost every last there was offclassing, it's actually really annoying.

The problem with this is that even more people will complain that 6s is too restrictive.

Basically, you should try to work in more than just the radio-friendly songs. However, do it gradually so the listener doesn't notice the genre change. Speeding up the tempo over the course of the set (do it during fades) would be nice.

Midwest internet is basically Canadian internet.

Comcast has 20/4 for $30 right now here in Indy, for 6 months though. After 12 months it goes up to the same price as AT&T's 24/3, $63. Comcast does offer faster speeds though. Comcast has problems though, but you probably don't have many options.
