Adding to the above for people travelling far:
There has been little rainfall here, so stay hydrated as the air + sun + heat can dry you out super fast. Drink lots of water.

Here are some item previews!
At $40 you can get yourself a beautiful 18" x 24" poster designed by Uberchain, signed by the teams featured at the event. As of now, there are 19 left!

If you fancy yourself a bit of flair, we have an Enamel Pin ($20) and Lanyard ($10) designed by Jasbutts.
Note: These items will be produced after the event has concluded so that there can be accurate numbers ordered. There will be a VERY limited amount on sale at the event, so plan accordingly to secure your items.

One more addition that we have confirmation on is the addition of Medals for donors! They are designed by Uberchain, SedimentarySocks, and Jasbutts.

Bronze: Over $25
Silver: Over $50
Gold: Over $100+
These tiers would also qualify for anyone that commits to buying Individual Items. So if someone spends over $25 on items, they automatically receive an in-game medal as well! SteamIDs will be collected via email after the event.
One thing I would like to address is how the items vs donation system works for Matcherino. There are two choices on the page, one is 'Contribute' which is just a monetary contribution to the event. The other if you scroll down is 'Rewards' which has all the items for sale listed. To be able to buy items you will have to make individual selections in Rewards. If you want to just donate to the prizepool without the items, you are more than welcome to do so under Contribution. Just to clear up some confusion, I understand it's a little unclear on the page itself. Regardless, everyone will get the medals.
translucentfecesthose are some damn good brows bravo
Thank you! I got them threaded and it hurt a little but it makes them super clean.

New glasses, fixed eyebrows, long hair...
Spend the day packing for Rewind since I fly out the day after, then work in the evening and maybe bring chocolates for my co-workers.
Got a lot of stress put on me yesterday when a project I wasn't expecting came suddenly, on top of having to manage another project if it comes in since the respective trainer will be out of the country. The team I oversee performed poorly and behind schedule which upset the new lead I have (who also switched over from a different project so he is new to this as well) and we're trying to find a way to justify this but we can't. I feel like I've missed the mark as a trainer, being probably the first project I actually got to oversee since my promotion a month ago, and I'm not looking forward to lecturing my co-workers tonight, the same people I worked alongside as a normal employee before.
Work at the fish shop, smoke some weed, eat some good food.
Was tuning into the Svift vs Velocity match during my lunch break at work and one of my co-workers who hadn't played TF2 in years came over to watch. She hasn't seen much of 6s but had knowledge of it due to knowing Highlander was a thing. The game really kept her attention, and i pushed her to check out more 6's stuff!
Edit:. She asked why both teams were running Kritz to mid and I got confused then she realised she confused it with the stock uber. Also she got super excited by the sniping due to her love of paying that class.

Holy shit
CaptainZidgelwhat are the bathroom accommodations? Are there a lot of stalls? Or just a single bathroom?
oh, and can I bring my own backpack of food or nah?
There's bathrooms off to the side. The women's has a bunch of stalls maybe 3-4 and a handicapped, not sure about the guy's side. I don't see why you can't bring your own food, I brought my lunches back to the venue.
blehis anyone making the drive to the venue/hotel that can make a pitstop for me?
Might want to mention off the bat where you're located, I think more folks will be inclined to reach out that way!
CaptainZidgel-
If you're just there to watch and hang out it's free, it's just if you wanted to use the computers you'll have to pay. If it's like last year, just show up! There's a small lot across the street and some parking garages around the area and street parking but ESA doesn't have its own dedicated parking area.
And yes, you can still attend as a minor.
Seconding Uber's suggestions above, those two have enough variety for the weekend.
From 4th street market:
Mar - Poke bowls and teriyaki meats if you don't like raw fish
Chunk n Chip - Cookies
Portola Coffee Lab - espresso and coffee drinks
MacFadden:
Rooster Republic - Didn't actually eat there but other people with me had fried chicken and it smelled oh so good
RIP Viking Dog and their excessively long dogs
C4 Deli: They're only open for lunch, but have sandwiches, burgers, etc
Crave: Sandwiches, salads, brunch, etc
Also one night we were at La Rinconada which has tacos and Mexican plates, and had a grand old karaoke time.
There's a Starbucks a block away and Subway somewhere beyond.
