Gave it a full top to bottom listen, it definitely has a different feel than their previous albums but in a way it still has that Gorillaz style. It has a darker feel than Plastic Beach, makes sense considering the feeling behind the creation of these tracks. There's a couple tracks I can't really get into but I found myself liking more than I thought I would. Some of them like Ascension and Hallelujah Money I didn't really like standalone when they were first released but when implemented in the full album work so much better. The beats and effects make it sound really dreamy, good for relaxing with a drink or a smoke.
Favorite tracks so far are probably Andromeda, Submission, Busted and Blue, and Sex Murder Party, and The Apprentice.
Two days and no photos of the little fish yet. Please, I'll share some of mine too?
One of the most toxic substances occurs in some species of zoanthids and palythoa 'corals' [they are readily found sold for reef tanks alongside actual corals, but they are actually related to jellyfish and sea anemones]. The palytoxin can enter the body through inhalation or exposure, and can result in death. Gloves and facial protection are a must when handling specimens, as the toxin can easily enter through cuts on the body or through the mouth and eyes.
Clownfish are born as hermaphrodites that develop into males as they age. Among the group, the most dominant will change into a female, and the second will become a dominant male. The rest become subdominant males. If the dominant female dies, the next fish in line will become the new female.
Some species of cichilds [I'm most familiar with apistogramma and the ram cichild] will develop female-like coloration when living among a dominant male to fool him into thinking there are just females around. In most fish species, the male is the more colorful. The muted coloration helps curb aggression from the dominant male, and when the dominant male is removed, another will change coloration.
Corals are actually a type of colonial marine invertebrate, the structure consists of a hard calcium carbonate skeleton that houses the colony of polyps. Most are photosynthetic due to their symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae, but they can also feed on plankton and small invertebrates and fish. Some can be aggressive to other corals, and can extend sweeper tentacles several inches long that sting their neighbors.
I kind of wish they explored other possibilities instead of taking the existing characters and placing it in the US. Like, a completely new character was presented with the Notebook and how their reaction to it would be, and how it would play out compared to the narrative in the original series.
Other than that I am excited to see Willem Dafoe as Ryuk.

Don't have a doggo myself, but the owners at my work bring their dogs to the store. This is Ben, he's a 15 year old lab and he likes to be pet and sleep.
Might have been a Cali bug going around, a lot of people back here are sick too. I was pretty bad two days after I got back but I've pretty much recovered now.

Animal Farm, The Canterbury Tales, Brave New World, Inherit the Wind, Beowulf. Also read quite a lot of Shakespeare.
Thank you Sami, Wade, and the folks at ESA, for letting us have this event in the first place and organizing everything. Get some rest guys, you deserve it. Thank you casters and production, for keeping everything running smoothly and being our voice. Thank you Tino for all that camerawork, hope you're feeling better! Thank you eXtine, Fragile, Slin, Bren, Dreamboat, Ma3la, Trutruk, Getawhale!! Thank you Dashner, for the documentary video, just watched it at home and got a bit weepy. Also extra thank you Dreamboat for having the best hugs.
Thank you ShdSteel, for giving us a place to hang out afterwards and for providing so much booze for us! And great idea to go to karaoke on Friday, never have I laughed so hard. Thank you Shdwpuppet for the $12 dollars to spank KevinIsPwn and sorry for brutalizing you Kevin. Thank you Mana, for giving me a place to stay and always being a good buddy. Until next time we run into each other, which I'm sure won't be too far off!
Thank you to all the teams that traveled here to play, you all put on a great show. Especially to the Euros and Aussies- Thank you for having such strong presence and being great partiers! I'm sorry our toilets have too much water. Thank you Lux, for being a great party companion! Thank you Sideshow, for being as hilarious and sweet in person as you are online. Also thank you for whoever brought the Tim Tams and Arnott's biscuits, they're quite tasty.
Thank you to the attendees, for showing up and for your love of the game. You're the community, and it's a damn good turnout. We may not be the biggest but we're definitely one of the closest I feel. Thank you everyone who wore their Tip of the Hats shirts, it was so nice to see many of them. Thank you to all who liked the signs I made as well!
Thank you Uberchain, for always being a fantastic partner to work with again and a being a great friend. Thank you for trusting me with the camera and introducing me to people so I wouldn't feel so alone. I'm glad we were able to meet in person after years and I don't want this to be the last time.
Also lastly, thank you to everybody for being so kind and so wonderful and so welcoming- this was my first international event and honestly, I had a lot of doubts about going at all. What if people were mean, what if people didn't like me, what if I didn't have fun- all that melted away as soon as I stepped in the venue and started saying hi. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making this weekend one I won't forget. I eagerly look forward to the next time we'll meet.
