sheepy_dogs_handAlso jediflamaster was basically asking them to ban him and as explained already, he wanted to get banned, so please keep this in mind.
I wanted to make sure everyone who wanted to see what national would get banned for, could. I wanted to see if the etf2l staff will go as far as banning people for youtube content (I had no way of knowing at the time if the video really was the only thing national did). I sure as hell didn't want to get banned for life from the league I dumped 7 years of my life into in attempt to actually get good. I strongly regret that I will never reach prem because of this (but I'm sure many of you would argue it wasn't going to ever happen either way).
wtzwhy didnt u just upload it on a yt account not called jediflamaster
Subterfuge isn't my style. Additionally, I talked to the ETF2L staff to confirm the video was the correct one. Once that happenned, it wouldn't take Colombo to figure out who did it. It's also a clear statement of my position, as I am strictly against etf2l staff policing youtube content of players.
Stinson_OutSo in summary: he was warned and well aware that his action could be punished with a ban, he got banned and he has the power to lift his own ban. By no means is this a permanent ban that we forced upon anyone. He chose to ignore our warning and he chooses to stay banned.
Cheers, DCS | ETF2L.org
I choose to stay true to myself, Stinson. You know me better than this. I refuse to believe you didn't know what the outcome would be.
CollaidejediflamasterI am reminded of no such incident. Which server even was that? This must be a misunderstanding.During a solly 1v1 on ammomod u were loosing u decided to switch to pyro. When I countered the pyro class (in lame ways) u banned me for "occupying the arena".
I remember. I didn't ban you, I just kicked you. As far as I remember I got the message that you wanted to play soldiers, switched to soldier, you kept sitting on heavy and farming frags, so I kicked you because it was going nowhere. Honestly, I get why you're angry, cause even a kick for that is stupid, I would have just moved you to spec if I could but the sm admin panel didn't give me that option. It'd probably have been better to just leave you be.
Sorry for that.
Btw the ban isn't explicitly permanent. It's until I take the video down, but I'll take the video down never. So the ban is effectively permanent because I'm stubborn enough to not bend to Stinson's will.
Collaidejediflamaster banned me from mge for beating him, totally consistent opinions with that guy.
fuck him.

ballzyI think its a bit shortsighted to say that you would like to play in a league full of players who are toxic to one another and make life as hard as possible for the other team outside of the game.
I'll take more shittalkers over more insincere liars any day. There are plenty ways to be assholes to the other team already too, but people don't do it because it's not worth the time.
ballzyYou should keep in mind that this game is, far and large, grassroots and done voluntarily as a hobby. People do not want toxicity in excess, it just isn't fun for anyone.
Competition isn't fun or about fun.
ballzyBesides, this is completely missing the point of the reasons that these players were banned in the first place. Something where there was no competition involved.
All the more reason not to involve ETF2L in this clearly personal issue. This is something twitter should deal with.
ballzyjediflamasterSportsmanship is nice but prioritising it above the competition itself shows lack of commitment to the very idea of competing.By the same logic you should be as toxic as possible to the enemy team during officials to try to tilt them, because that would be the most competitive thing to do. This is bannable on ETF2L because its unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Players who do that are called snakes, it's a legit tactic, and it's still only a crutch. And you're right, I do think that being a snake shouldn't be bannable, anyone can mute chat if that's their weakness.
Besides, compulsory sportsmanship isn't real. Forcing people to pretend to respect you only makes you know less.
Sorry for the double, browser lagged.
ballzyjediflamasterThey clearly didn't care about beating the shit out of whoever shittalked them as much as they cared about being shittalked, and that in itself is weak and not competitive.I think the issue here is unsportsmanlike behaviour, not overly competitive behaviour.
Sportsmanship is nice but prioritising it above the competition itself shows lack of commitment to the very idea of competing.
ballzyjediflamasterIf people talking shit is going to stop someone from competing, I don't think they really care about actually competing. That's the same as saying that people who have left the scene due to issues like this didn't care about the scene, which I think is completely wrong in all cases.
They clearly didn't care about beating the shit out of whoever shittalked them as much as they cared about being shittalked, and that in itself is weak and not competitive.
You guys how no idea how grateful I am that there was no community uproar when I was called a sperg, a little kurwa and a shitty pyro main. I'd never have gotten into comp if it weren't for people giving it to me straight about the worth of my feelings and my skill. And, still, I'm pretty sure most of you would still have no trouble with that now. Why do you choose to harm this poor girl and 2 prem teams in this case?
zotohYrrWhen (to outsiders) your scene is defined by racism and toxicity, the only people you're gonna be able to convince to join it are people who share those attitudes, people who tolerate them, or people who somehow avoided learning of the reputation.
If the scene starts making permanent changes like these, toward trying to stamp out those attitudes, it will become much easier to convince new players to get involved.
Absolutely. Being stuck in a state of stagnation and excusing awful behavior out of fear of killing the game is self defeating. New people joining and growth is the only way to improve the scene, and people are far less likely to join when high level players commonly throw around racist, sexist, transphobic, and homophobic language.
But regardless of that, there's a basic human decency argument against allowing this kind of behavior to go on unchecked.
Being a decent person is not a prerequisite for being good at tf2.
Razieljediflamaster
No, but when you're bad you stay in open like a loser. Isn't that shame punishment enough?
holy christ I'm losing brain cells reading the messages from this assclown
Don't worry, chap, you can't go negative.
If people talking shit is going to stop someone from competing, I don't think they really care about actually competing. In my experience someone talking shit about you only makes you want to beat them at the video game harder.
It also happens that the tf2 comp players have the reputation of being gods at the game.
