#3 [STREAM] EVL TV in Requests

Added as a separate channel. We may have the man-power to run two casts and would use both channels.
Thanks

#1 So you think you can cast? in TF2 General Discussion

The folks who brought you the EVL Battle Royale's are stepping up once again to help competitive TF2, only this time in the form of shoutcasting.

In order to do this we have started up what is known as evlTV, which is a shoutcasting network that is pretty much open to anyone willing to give it a shot. Not only do we need your amazing voices telling us what is going on in games, we need people behind the scenes working the camera, which is just as tough as casting matches. We want to get a taste of just about every division between Iron-Plat and across the three game modes (i.e. HL, 6s, and 4s).

We had our first official cast last night over on http://evlgaming.tv/. It was pretty rough around the edges but you got to give props to Cactus, Mojoe, Neon, and Yipyapper for their first "official" livecast.

If you're interested and think you want to give it a shot, head on over to here which will give you a direct link to the evlTV forums, where you can post an application.

Anyone willing to learn, and who wants to cast / camera is encouraged to sign up!

#1 [STREAM] EVL TV in Requests

EVL TV is a branch of EVL Gaming, the organization behind the Summer Battle Royale and the upcoming Winter Battle Royale
. Our other channel EVL Gaming is already listed, however we'd like our new channel to be added, as we plan to cast the remainder of the UGC HL GOLD Season.

New Channel -> http://www.twitch.tv/evltv
New Website

Thanks!

DougThose t-shirts look amazing. Great work.

Thanks Doug!

runescape_boy_420I like the shirt because its not obviously a gaming shirt I don't like people knowing my fandoms

Shh!! That's our secret marketing plot!

Does it look nice? Check
Can Will we wear it outside in public? Also check!

Also its officially 10/25 and it is the last day to grab a shirt at $12. After today they'll go up to $15

I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed thus far, in all we've sold about 35 shirts (prior to this post we were at 25), and are about $70 away from our goal!

#6 Buy a classy shirt for $12; help a 4v4 TF2 event! in TF2 General Discussion

^Hit the nail on the head. That's exactly why we're not rolling with 6s. In the future we may do 4's and 6's. Not sure how well HL would work for with our format. The goal being to help introduce new players into comp TF2, and 4s is way more chillax then 6s or HL.

#1 Buy a classy shirt for $12; help a 4v4 TF2 event! in TF2 General Discussion

The Winter Battle Royale needs your help!
The WBR is a 64 team, TF2 4v4 tournament, with the goal of introducing players into the competitive scene, and growing the competitive community, a goal that all of us can agree with! We have 300+ signups but now we need to raise some funds to pay for our dedicated machine, and webhosting.

The big difference we provide over other tournaments is we provide all of the servers, staff, and match up players to teams, making this a very enticing event to tons of people!

How will you reach your goal?
Shirts! If we sell just 20 shirts, we'll reach our minimum goal and have enough money to pay for our infrastructure and keep the event growing!

What do the shirts look like?

http://i.imgur.com/72uerMG.jpg

How much?
Shirts are currently $12 and that price includes shipping! The shirts are hanes tagless tees, and won't shrink too much. We used the same kind for our last SBR event and they turned out great! (Sorry Canada, add $12 for Canadian shipping)

The donation ALSO includes a raffle ticket! You don't need to be a registered player in the event, you simply need an account on our website. Once you purchase your shirt, you'll be given a raffle point that can be redeemed for a ticket. We'll have all kinds of goodies to give away and the raffles will start mid November and continue until the end of the event (Feb 2nd).

How long do I have to order a shirt?
To get the $12 discount, you must order by October 25th! After that the price goes up to $15.

How do I know your not scamming me?
This is not our first event, and it won't be our last. Last summer we had the Summer Battle Royale, a 128 player, 32 team event. Watch some highlights from last summers event

We partnered up with Kip, Getawhale, C0ld, Turbo_Cop, Melon, and Blackout Gaming and had an amazing live stream. We sold shirts then, and everyone who ordered them received them on time and as promised! The sales helped us cover our costs and everyone had a blast!

When will I get my shirt?
We estimate it'll be on your doorstep between Nov 11 - Nov 15.

Can I just donate?
Yes you can! View our donation store, which features our shirts, some digital art created and donate generously from our community and staff, and tons of other goodies.

Does your team get paid?
Nope. Our team of 18 are volunteering 100% of their time, including our directors and server techs. 100% of the profits made from shirt sales will go to pay for our bills, and any extra will go toward our next event.

TL;DR
We're having a casual 4v4 tournament for serious prizes like SSD's. In order to pull off this event we need your help to raise some money to help keep our site running, and get our dedicated machine in place to host 256 players! To help raise these funds, we're selling shirts and other digital goodies.

#1 TF2 4v4 Summer Battle Royale is approaching! in TF2 General Discussion

What & When
Event Takes place July 12th and 13th (Saturday and Sunday) Saturday from 10am - 4pm and Sunday 1pm - 4pm PST

The Evl Gaming Summer Battle Royale is a laid back 4v4 tournament, for prizes!. Double elimination style bracket. With a Melee only 16v16 team fight to top off the end of the event. The event has 100+ signups and we're looking for another 50-60 signups so its best to signup soon as we are less than a month away!

The grand prize is a solid state hard drive for each member of the winning 4v4 team. Along with a slew of other prizes everyone can win. Including T-Shirts and other yet to be announced swag. The Melee tournament will likely last only 30-45 minutes and will not have as many prizes, however you never know what we may get our hands on!

Tournament Sign-ups are free, with no restrictions on who may enter. But you'd better act fast before all the slot fill up! We likely will have pay-to-play slots opened toward the end of June, allowing players to reserve a spot for a small donation cost. Donors will not receive any advantage, other than being able to sign up for the tournament at a later date.

The Teams:
But wait..... Does this mean I will need a premade team? Nope. That's the best part! The teams are completely randomized. No need to worry about a premade team steam rolling the competition. We aim for even dispersal of talent.
The goal is to match players new to competitive play with veteran players. So that everyone has an even footing to play, have fun, and meet new people within the community. Oh and of course get the chance to win some awesome loot in the process.
Teams will be announced on June 28th so try to signup before then!

Signing Up:
If you're interested in signing up, just head on over to evlbr.com. You'll need to sign up for an Enjin account, if you don't already have one.
That way once your application is approved for the tournament, we can plug you into our team dashboard to get you placed with your team and ready to play.
See our handy video for more information on getting signed up and ready: http://youtu.be/j-c7SAUOmTA

Coverage
With the help of Getawhale, Kip, c0ld and Blackout Gaming we'll be bringing you a crazy amount of Live Stream coverage, and post game match recordings. So stay tuned! Spectators welcome!

Technical
Chat communication will be handled via a Mumble Voice Chat Server. Those interested in participating should familiarize yourself with the program ahead of time.
Primary game servers are hosted in Kansas City. With secondary servers available in Phoenix for players with high or unusual ping.

Why are you doing this?
The EVL Community has had many teams participate in the UGC League, and have helped new players that we meet get into the compettive scene. Without outside help, its nearly impossible to be successful, and you may even dislike competitve TF2 for all the wrong reasons if you go it alone. To help we're having a just for fun (and some prizes!) tournament to help players test the waters before diving into the competitive arena.

TL:DR We're having a 4v4 tournament. Winning team gets 64GB SanDisk SSD's (each member). Event takes place in 2 days (July 12th - July 13th), double elimination bracket (view bracket here). We have some rules here.. Tangible prizes can only be awarded to US-Based players, intangible prizes like game keys, partner codes etc are awarded to anyone. At the end when everyone (except the winners) are mad that they lost we're having a 16v16 melee tournament with shirts and game codes as prizes. It won't take very long.
