Processing ban requests already take a lot of effort. I don't see any benefit for tf2center to send out notifications to be honest.

3/6 have login bans on center.

Why are we installing a userscript that only lists 7 players in a list? I thought this at least used the ETF2L / lotus / skial / SMAC banlists.

Oh and this plugin would be obsolete if you submitted your evidence to tf2center so these players aren't able to use the site in the first place 8)

It isn't, check the link. he just has a list with 7 steamID's he has added.

Supstats is off for NA due to SS I think, will ask Arie about it.

Player was banned for hosting a non-VAC lobby. I agree that that should be about a week lobby create.

I would encourage everyone in this thread that thinks someone is cheating in a lobby to submit a ban requests with proper evidence to us: http://forums.tf2center.com/forms/5-request-a-ban/
Unless a player is blatantly using trigger/aimbot and hitting 100% headshots, I'm not going to apply a ban based on a lobby link. Provide a demo and some ticks and we'll take a look.

A while ago I started setting up AC measures on center, which is harder than it sounds (hence the emphasis on supplying demos). Since I work at ETF2L we naturally have a close relationship with their competent AC team. Players getting caught at TF2Center and TF2Pickup will be reported to ETF2L and vice versa.

We're trying to do the same with UGC but sadly they don't have a dedicated AC staff, which is weird because the volume of NA players reported is way higher. For the moment I just send messages to various UGC league admins and hope they do something with it.

I'm pretty sure the amount of cases will rise as soon as we open our ranked matchmaking system, so we're focussing on making cheating accusations a robust process. But it all stands or falls with the evidence provided, intricacy in the case review process and workload of our AC teams.

You don't need to know how to lead anything.

You just have to know basic design rules and somewhat care about safety to know storing passwords in plain text is not acceptable.

Especially when the league tries to dismiss it as something minor.

Make a blog post about it, inform everyone that could be affected and force password changes to all users. See twitch.tv's actions with their recent DB compromise. Please don't just sit around and let players use the known unsafe login/storage methods.

Just be proactive with it and put the users' safety in front of all other things. It's a community league for christs sake
