this isn't a regular season match. this is grand finals. while i think regular season matches should be super important to get played, this is like next level shit. the whole season built to this and now it's gonna be a 5v6 with ringers and retardation. but hey, the match will technically get played on time!!
yeah I get that, but surely that means they should have fucking made an effort to be available for around when the grand final would happen?
Is it just me that thinks it does suck balls and has been handled badly but if top prem teams can't play like an entire week and haven't worked something out by themselves way before a grand final then it's at least sort of their fault..? Do your uni work, get a day or two off your sports shit. Whatever really. If you don't want to do that shit then maybe don't play TF2 at the top and expect admins to have no issues.
ps i'm not saying admins are faultless, it just seems like some (very important you read that right.. some) people are acting like it wasn't their fault when they could probably have scheduled their shit a bit better to begin with.
He literally has no Team Fortress 2 gcf files at all. I don't fucking understand.
Sick gamer sick guy sick goldfish rip
For the love of God people read what has been said to you!
As nTraum and others said, ETF2L's backend is pretty much spaghetti put in a bag and smashed up to high heaven, so making a big change like replacing our ruleset would be much harder than you'd think. The website is tailored entirely around two maps a week with barely any thought (if any at all) put into being able to change that even remotely easily. Changing it would just confuse stuff a little bit too much.
Our ruleset really isn't that big of a change for NA players, and playing two maps really is not difficult to be honest. It keeps things fresh and you have an entire week and the pre-season to practice these maps with your team. Not only that but wildcards should seem like a godsend to you guys after some of the shit I've read recently about people being unable to play and things going way worse than they should after a league refuses to let you play just a few days after.
Everyone is in the same boat so it isn't like you have a disadvantage, and one season is really all it would take. Not even that if I'm honest, because you'd probably see after just a few weeks that it isn't as different as it seems. Personally I'd love to see you guys over at ETF2L and I hope you can at least look at how smoothly the league runs for now and ignore the fact that you (the top teams, of which there really aren't too many) don't get (for now) all the benefits you feel that ESEA gives you. Especially considering the fact that as you all know the negatives of ESEA vastly outweigh the positives.
If this does actually happen I feel like ETF2L could grow to be much much better for both regions and that could very easily lead to all of the things that you feel we're lacking being added or replaced with similar perks in the near future. tl;dr? Give it a chance, you might enjoy yourselves, and it might vastly improve the scene of our lovely little shitheap of a game.

Hallow90->70 is 20 difference, not 30, and it's almost the same as difference between 16:9-4:3 (About 15 degrees)
I said 30 because with high/wide resolutions you get closer to 100, and closer to 80 on smaller ones. Either way it's not the same what so ever and saying it is pretty ridiculous. Read what I said after. I said once you get used to it it's hard to go to something else. It feels too weird. What I meant is that it isn't a lot of FOV you're using and if you're used to it already it doesn't really matter.
pernixkonrWhen running cs in 4:3 you get 74 fovSolidSpeerlaiyeNo it isn't, because playing at 640x480 won't lower your fov by 30. That's ridiculous.konrModels are bigger, and therefore (imo) easier to track. I also think once you've gotten used to using that resolution the fov feels really weird on other resolutions, so it's hard to switch. Also you can quite easily actually move your move and look around, you don't need the tiny amount of fov gain.
That's like saying that you prefer 70fov since the models are bigger and the fov loss is completely insignificant because you could just move your mouse more.
