#88 Opinion on Mice? in Hardware

sorry but it's also too sensitive on cloth pads, forget the z-axis issue.

#21 On PUGs and IRC in TF2 General Discussion
cosmophilicI understand the reasoning behind sticking to IRC for pugs. It creates a sort of technical barrier that keeps casual players away, so that more competitive players can keep it to themselves and maintain a higher level of play. I think that's perfectly fine. But at the same time, I think this is also a barrier that keeps players away from comp TF2.

You think we've all have been using IRC for the last decade just to keep casuals out of our pugs? That's funny :)

We use IRC because it's easy....

#76 Opinion on Mice? in Hardware
leonWithADanceNumberCan someone recommend me a mouse with a similar shape/sensor to the death adder but with better build quality?
Zowie ec1 looks similar, has anyone used it?

It also has mouse accel built into it and cannot be turned off and the side buttons feel as if they could break easily. They haven't broken for me yet but I don't use them as much. Aside from the side buttons its a good mouse would recommend it.

just get the ec1 "evo", it's even better shape than the DA since the side buttons are better situated and it's a tiny bit wider on the bottom middle area.

x3i4nWhats the main diff between g400 and g500?

G400 = optical sensor
G500 = Laser sensor

Always opt for optical, imo.

randomirishladMore like /g/'s, /v/ doesn't know shit about computer peripherals.

Actually this new /v/'s list is pretty accurate. It has the right mice up at the top (although I think the ec1 evo should be higher) It even mentioned the high CPU issue on the spawn despite it's great shape. SO they have done some research on it this time around.

Great guy to have in mumble, very humble. He's dedicated and going places.

demannuyou can get banned for what hes saying? @_@

If you're going to "troll" people you need to expect some repercussions, either online or away from keyboard, that's life. Unless you're on a forum specifically catering to trolls.

#7 Maximum in Off Topic
defianceIf the maximum I can raise a number is by 100, does this mean I cannot raise it by 50?

Based on the wording, that would be false. You can raise it by anything up to 100.

kerrI really like my CM Storm Spawn. I have a pretty big hand and it has a good width and the shape is good for a claw grip.

I would advise against the spawn if you use windows 7. While it has the best shape ever, it's got a known issue with windows 7 (64 bit more than 32) that causes CPU lock down when using mumble, vent or team speak. They even tried to hush it up by moving the forums and leaving out a spawn forum, lol.

Old forums:

New forums, notice spawn mice forum missing completely;

First things first, a 5-6 inch 360 is not a low sens, it's mid-high in fact. Just fyi :)

As for the mouse there's pretty much 3 choices.

1. Zowie EC1or2 eVo, black or white.

2. G400

3. New DA or older 1800 version which is pretty much extinct now.

If you're left handed there is the Zowie AM of lefty DA.

As for the EC1 or 2 choice, the 1 is the larger, 2 the smaller. They are almost identical in shape to the DA only the buttons are better situated all around.

The color choice is if you want slick gloss (white) or fussy felt (black).

Myself I have a 5.7 inch 360, I like cloth pads (Purtrak stealth) and I like the glossy white version because I don't lose grip on it like the black one. i also use the number 1 version (EC1 evo) because it's a bit wider than the DA, which had a good shape to begin with. The Zowie version is much better.

#4 Motherboard problem? in Hardware

I believe it's F1 to bypass checksum error, if it reads your keyboard. It'll load defaults.

You may also need a new battery
