#196 Wow really? in TF2 General Discussion

Let's not lose our logical minds here, he was joking for sure when he said that "DDos power activate".

The only thing the video shows is some of them, who I assume is Mangoes and Bape, being real jerks about the 5 min pause rule. While the rest of the team didn't really want to go along but were kind of bullied into it, even being threatened with one of those 2 leaving if they didn't un-pause.

That's some horrible sportsmanship :(

No team in ESEA enforces the 5 min pause rule, unless you're DDOSing the other team of course.

#151 Got scammed tf2 items in TF2 General Discussion
LKincheloeIt's not dumb, it's Economy 101. It's how much value you perceive a product to be, for some a virtual hat is worth $200, to others it could be completely worthless.

No matter what anyone thinks the value of the hat is, the person who owns the hat gets to decide how much they want to sell it for. Even if you think it's only worth $10, you don't get to have it for $10.

#16 Anyone wanna critique my mix? in Off Topic
RenhetThere's a couple points where it sounds like there's a beat from one of the songs you mixed, and it clashes with the beat of the mix, but it could be intentional and I could have no idea what I am talking about. And this is probably useless anyway because I can't be assed to locate which points.

I believe I know what you're talking about and I can help elaborate for the OP. I hear the same thing and a good example is at 8:00-8:30 in the first link, when you're mixing "hello" by martin solveg, and what I believe is that "pumped up kicks" track.

Either you're off beat by 1/4rth but still on time, or you've dropped the wrong end "high vs low" on one of the tracks and it's making them sound too different. Maybe their key is way off from each other causing it.

That is what I believe you should work on cause from the little I did listen too I liked most of it but that stood out enough to make me cringe a bit, and I love both of those tracks on their own. I like dance/house a lot so keep it up!!

#10 mouse pads in TF2 General Discussion
flippersBenroadsGetting worn out from use?
cant you always clean mousepads though, or am i wrong.

very wrong, sorry. Hard pads wear out bald spots that heat up and become sticky to the mice feet as you play. Soft pads will wear the fiber and become frayed and make the sensor skip or mess up when you go over that spot and the slide can change as you use it more and it gets more and more worn.

Cloth pads will generally last much longer, both are fairly easy to clean, but that only gets the dirt off, that doesn't fix the material.

Dave_ has used some hybrids that work so far, but do NOT get the megasoma from Razer, the grit wears off in 2 days and the little pieces of white plastic get jammed up in your mouse.

zowie fanboylol

I had not seen this yet, this looks promising. However the side buttons are still in the same spot, which are way to easy to hit by accident for myself. I do like those rubber sides though.

BenroadsI actually have fairly large hands, would I be better off getting a g400/da then?

The Zowie EC1 evo is the same palm-able shape as the DA but it's a tiny bit wider in the middle, perfect for larger hands.

The best shape out of all the mice mentioned is the Zowie EC1 evo for sure. I would get the white one myself since it's the glossy one and much easier to grip than the black felt one.

the G400 kind of forces you to put 3 fingers up on top of the button area because there is no safe spot for your ring finger. The Deathadder let's you choose side or top for this.

I would say forget both of them and go with a zowie product. Avoid the deathadder anyway, the new ones are not proven sensor wise yet.

kirbykuza can you accidentally pay for my premium

I've accidentally let it run over for other people in the past, before I knew I could cancel it right away and it still sticks for the month/3

literally the best mouse on the market for the price right now. Just make sure you buy a later model that doesn't have prediction

Sorry i'm not really well versed in hardware terms, what exactly does prediction mean? Does it like guess where you're moving or something?

Razer calls it angle snapping, some call it prediction. It's basically software assisted line making. So if you can draw a straight line in paint every time without trying, you have it.

frknkuzaThat sucks, this is why i cancel mine right away :)I usually do but this was my first time doing it on paypal (vs. google) and I couldn't figure it out and figured I have plenty of time...against my better judgement.

I'd have to lie to tell you I haven't accidentally paid before, maybe twice ;)

I would recommend a zowie EC1 evo white or the Zowie AM with a puretrak stealth or other pure black mouse pad.

evo versions;
EC1 = same size as DA, maybe wider in middle. Awesome shape.
EC2 = bit smaller, same shape
black = soft felt like top of old DA but hard to grip for me
white = all glossy like old DA sides, very good grip for me.

The Zowie AM is ambidextrous but has the same sensor as the evo.
