Unfortunately, since both Seanbud and Bloodsire couldn't make it today, we have...
DRUMROLL
BL4NK AND MARXIST!
This will be Marxist's debut cast on TFTV. We're gonna have a good Friday, everyone, DDoSers be damned.
Fightmastermight have picked a bad season to get my start in open :(
Every player and team starts from somewhere. Unless money is a problem, there isn't really a "bad" time to start. My first season (S13) was 2-14 (2 forfeit wins, AKA we never actually won a match).
Despite what anyone says, scrims and matches definitely have an element of difference. You can scrim open teams all day and win, but match time might be a slightly (or drastically) different story. Match experience is the best experience.
NosferatuInteresting changes. Is there a chance this could be used in the season 15 map list? Also, is it possible for Valve to implement these changes into the official "cp_snakewater" map? I have no idea how the rights or ability to change maps work when Valve releases someone else's map into the game.
cp_snakewater isn't official.
Cloudmaker2What about Game of Throws? They look pretty good.
I don't know them so I can't judge, but in my experience, having practically a carry player (smi|e in this case) GENERALLY doesn't bode well for the team (harOzone being sort of an exception).
Just from a team cohesion standpoint (this isn't specific to Game of Throws, my team scrimmed them only once a long time ago), everyone else needs to step it up in decision making and DM to the carry player. This automatically creates some uncoordination between the carry and the rest of the team. Unless the carry enjoys playing with the rest of the team more than he/she does in winning, there's gonna be disappointment and lack of trust or forgiving. Long story short, my advice for new teams is to even out the skill levels as much as possible (and you will grow very quickly if you stick together for a season), or, of course, play with people you'll have fun (whatever the definition) with.
That said, I looked up the scrims of Game of Throws on ss and it seems that they aren't quite primed for playoffs yet.

skyrideIf you want to cast, go for it. Don't rely on BO/TFTV/VTV to provide you a platform, streaming is easy as fuck these days. If your internet and/or PC is a bit of toaster, you can always just locally record and upload to youtube. If you feel confident, get in contact with the bigger orgs, send them links to some of your stuff, and if you're any good we'd be more than welcome to bring you on board.
And on top of this, there are a couple people who are willing to donate their stream and camera time (including myself, when I'm not scrimming) to help you out. ques is one great example of someone who's been casting very well on his own.
Mr_Owlcan't believe i just got ninja'd by mana
They say it's because I'm Asian.
Or that I'm baiting the rest of my team while sitting on top of Gully choke.
LKincheloeFarm System - Besides Blackout TV I don't know of any casting org that is actively recruiting anybody new casters into the fold, much less providing training. New casters are basically stuck either casting STVs to Youtube or going swimming in the deep end of the TFtv stream list.
Putting some sort of system into place where new casters /streamers can be trained in the proper procedures Enigma is looking for will at a minimum ensure a standard of quality across in-house casts, and if they end up casting for someone else hopefully they'll spread that training around. Raising the bar in general. EDIT: If it helps get things into motion I would be willing to help out with this idea.
Well, I can't speak on behalf of TFTV, but I know I've been actively looking for talent, all the time. I jump into random streams (especially during casts), I try to keep tabs on everyone. Being "stuck" to casting STVs or YouTube is fine, because I'll even look at those. That's how Sezco got his debut cast. Marxist would've gotten his, as well, but HAPPENINGS IN MAIN prevented him so far (but you'll bet I'm trying to get him in).
Of course, final judgment rests with enigma, as always. And it's up to him and the NA coverage crew (cbear is one of them, won't name the others) to decide how this is all going to pan out.

Currently 23 rosters in Open.
The big teams to look for are (in my opinion):
- BUDSQUAD (duh)
- all in with allen (NO ALLEN?)
- Canadian Milk Bags (strong DMers, a little bit uncoordinated last time my team scrimmed them http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/62909)
- TF2Jump is retarded (broKing's team, looking incredibly strong)
- The Party Boys (has pretty good potential)
- Network Issues (oh baby)
- Mexibeam Gaming (looks like old Yoshi's Island + stuff)
- Chilling in North Korea (hi)
- Quantum Flux (this team should be high IM AT THE LEAST in all honesty...)
- Stay Offclassy (already doing relatively well, pre-season)
- Mahal Kita (owl's team which has been doing really well pre-season)
All other teams I don't know literally anything about.
mix^ roster:
Medic: harbleu
Demo: Seagull
Pocket: Platinum
Roamer: TLR
Scout: enigma
Scout: squid
Sources: ss and my friends list which contains one mix^ squid.
IMO: Incredibly scary team, a lot of the same people from last season, strong showing for next season.
Don't be a shitposter please.
ChameleoNpretty sure nobody cares about cs in tf2, or your 1 random troll post in a positive thread.
Pretty sure people care that you can be trusted. Trust is definitely something easier to hide over the Internet than in real life.
Keep in mind, I'm just saying this from a perspective of someone who might pick you up.
And it's kind of a broad stroke to say that TF2 doesn't care about CS. There are lots of good reasons to pay attention to competitive CS.
Moved to the Customization section.
Event updated, it's going to be a BLUDCAST with Bloodsire being the co-caster.
I asked him, but he's scrimming with his team, so, unfortunately not. HOWEVER, you won't be disappointed. We'll have a special set of casters for this one (assuming they say yes).
