#9 Getting into Teamfortress.tv? in TF2 General Discussion

Hey Redm00n, assuming Coleman is correct and you mean doing camera on behalf of TFTV casting, we aren't in need of new NA cameras at the moment, but if the need arises, here's what I can recommend:
- Learn about different streaming tools/plugins, and Twitch, and get familiar with them (in our case, OBS and Twitch).
- Get practice doing camera for other matches/etc. An easy way for us to know if you're good is if you have VODs of your camera work. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. You'll smooth them out with more practice.
- Take a look at our own casts and also casts from other places (eXtv, BlackOutGaming, VanillaTV, etc.) to see how everyone sets up their assets and does their camerawork.
- There are a couple threads around discussing how camerawork should be done. I don't have any links to them offhand but I'm pretty certain that the search bar is your friend.

Unfortunately, I can't go into more detail without knowing where YOU are with your camerawork, but also because I'm not one of the TFTV cameras, but I hope this can give you some ideas on where to start and go.

#16 CEVO Team LF Players in Recruitment (looking for team)

Good group of guys with pretty strong DM.

Dagger's actually really impressed me on Demo, his transition from Medic has carried over really well.

#19 Selling some brand new PC stuff in Hardware

I'm getting his Filco MINILA; very nice, was very helpful in describing the keyboard itself (it's a 60% keyboard). Also it's brand new in box. He obviously knows how to be careful about keeping his items new (even if he does buy a lot HEH).

EDIT: Also, he's giving me by far the best price I could get in the US.

DuckyTorn Productions still using shitty songs.

Sorry you're a European. Must be great to have songs like Barbie Girl, or, gee, all of Eurovision (minus ABBA).

#6 private twitch streams not showing up in Bug Reports
wicked_nasty_funkdoctorhoolii understand that private streams don't show up on the streamlist for obvious reasons but twitch recently removed the password feature. the problem i'm having is that my stream won't show up on tf.tv because i had a password on my stream before they removed the password feature. i guess twitch still has the password property saved somewhere even though the stream isn't actually private.
It seems that i have the same problem ... i remember vaguely that i set up a password like 2 years ago, because i wasn't planning on streaming ever and tried to lock up my "viewer only" profile as good as possible.

Now that i set up a stream i experience that my stream won't show up on teamfortress.tv ... what can i do to fix this? oO

Thanks in advance for any help provided,
wicked nasty funkdoctor
enigmathis is something you'll have to file a support ticket with twitch for

if you want to register a different twitch account in the meantime i'll be happy to add your new one though

#22 ESEA Season 15 LAN Discussion in TF2 General Discussion

I'm waiting in the airport (SFO) now. Probably gonna arrive at around 6-6:30 there.

I'm really glad I'm taking Virgin America to get there. One of the few tolerable airlines/airplanes.

#58 Angel! :3 in TF2 General Discussion
GeknaiirLuneWHAT IS EVEN HAPPENINGAngel barely streams tf2 gameplay (let's be real, 80 viewers because she's switching her hats is p stupid) and somehow manages to get on the live streams section. Apparently Slin just added her there because she plays comp tf2 as a steel heavy or something and that was all the proof Slin needed.
Idk at least I think it was because she was a steel heavy after her thread: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/15221-angel

Now people are getting on her because her stream isn't the best (and she acts like the stereotypical girl gamer) and the knights are defending her by saying that the people are bullying her.

It wasn't just a decision by Slin; he consulted me because he was really skeptical as well, but I said (not knowing anything except that she had pub VODs) to add her stream in the spirit of fairness of following the rules (in short, comp experience). He and I both had literally 0 idea this thread would happen and go the way it did.

#11 Is 27" too much for TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

It definitely is not too much, I was using a 27" IPS monitor up until very recently (2560x1440) and I've had no problems with out of reach HUD info. I used KBNHUD during that time, which does put health and ammo pretty close to the crosshair. I played quite a few matches and scrims that way. I would typically have my eyes around a foot and a half or two feet away from the screen.

#10 casting a bunch of playoffs matches in TF2 General Discussion
WithADanceNumberYo, thanks for catching that staring contest I had in river. I died laughing.

That was the greatest.

I have good news; the playoffs game between Rent-a-Homies and AG Rinkuing with Rinku is gonna get casted by TFTV. Event here: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/15228-esea-main-rent-a-homies-vs-ag-rinkuing-with-rinku
