#10 The i49 fundraiser is nearing its goal. ($10,050) in TF2 General Discussion
fraacSal wrote that when everyone thought tf.tv were going to i49. Things have changed a bit since then.

I wrote it with the direction of enigma, when things weren't set for i49. I'm keeping it there for historical reasons. I may do an update to that page to clarify what happens.

#26 TFTV i49 Fundraiser Showmatches in News
atmobroder players are pinging ~100 to the NY server that will be used

Eh, it's more like 120ish, which is just about on the verge of playing without many ping problems. Full server details will be out soon, still finalizing a couple things.

This time around all the pings are very good, so I'm incredibly confident that the matches this time around are going to be much more determined by skill and less ping differences.

#1 ETF2L Division 1: d-d-Did I Stutter? vs. Decerto.Ozone in Events

BIG HUHY TO STILL DO CAMERA WHILE PLAYING.

Regardless, should be a good game; as an NA player I've definitely heard of a lot of these guys and Div 1 seems like a pretty fightin' division.

ALSO, BIG ACCLESS WOOOOO

the301stspartanHoly shit! They get fucked over by unplayable pings and volunteer for the second match. That's great! Count me in.

Yep, it speaks multitudes on behalf of all the teams involved; they want to put on a good show. I'm sure they're looking for a LITTLE revenge too.

the301stspartanI thought broder vs mix^?

Nope, HRG. They agreed to play both. As they should, it's their money that TF.TV is fundraising. :P

So, anyways, the first showmatch was a huge success; at the moment, we only need a little less than ~1k to reach our goal.

Showmatch #2 incoming, this Sunday. This time, everything will be all around better. Come join us at 21 CEST this Sunday for the epic showdown between HRG and broder!

#5 ESEA-Open Season 14 Preview by Conductor and London_Calling in News

Great stuff, conductor. I'm hoping you can get a couple more writers with you to be able to cover more of Open. 70ish teams is a LOT for one person, even if it is a lot of returning vets.

Allealmana- TF.TV's fundraiser to send High Rollers Gaming TF2 to i49; at the moment, the fundraiser is at $7,119 out of $10,800 to reach its goal, with ~20 days left. http://i49.tf
ouch. I'd hoped we would be closer by now :\. is it possible to extend the fundraiser?

Nope, but it's honestly a non-issue. I have a backup plan, it's just that I'd rather not execute it. Still hopeful, as there are showmatches left to do that will definitely give it a bump. :) HRG, too, I think are starting to figure out that this is their money...

#194 ESEA s14 Invite Gossip Thread in TF2 General Discussion
SylvesterIf it DID happen, wouldn't that be odd though?

Didn't mean to make people upset or anything haha

Yeah, it would be odd because it makes literally no sense of how or why it would happen. It's not upsetting, it's just ridiculous and not very well thought out. When you speculate, there's at least some expectation of hints or cues of why that might be or is. Yours had literally none.

#129 Lange @ i49 in TF2 General Discussion

This is only on behalf of myself, and NOT TeamFortress.TV (if I could take away the green name for just this post, I would).

A lot of words and exchanges have been traded in this thread, but it's clear that hostilities and grievances are being aired; unpleasant stuff. But I'm very hopeful; people have expressed what they've wanted to (I'm sure you can agree with me that we've covered everything from every side...), perhaps ungraciously, but it's out. Personally, from here on out, I just want to see things move forward, whether that's in the form of a collaboration or otherwise within the remaining three months. We can all unite under that goal of promoting the impressive, friendly competition that is TF2. No one should be holding ill will towards either organizations; that doesn't help grow competitive TF2. What does is dealing with the cards every person and organization is given and playing it up from there. Every single day, every single event, every single opportunity.

So, what's remaining on the list for i49?
- VTV's setup for i49, casters, etc.; i49 takes place on the weekend of August 23rd, approximately 3 months away
- TF.TV's fundraiser to send High Rollers Gaming TF2 to i49; at the moment, the fundraiser is at $7,119 out of $10,800 to reach its goal, with ~20 days left. http://i49.tf
- Showmatches, not only for the fundraiser, but to hype i49 itself.

I'm hoping everyone (spectators included) can focus on what's important; support, advancement, and progress. We're all relatively smart people. If there's a problem, we can find a solution.
