KissmeBlizzard destroying their game's biggest competitive league...yea, I don't think so.
I'm sure they have plans in the pretty near future for IGN.
They aren't IGN any more, they were sold off by Ziff Davis, which has just recently bought IGN.

I have a couple friends that were exactly on that team; they're pretty happy about it. While it's a bit sad that there's one less independent tournament series, at least the production and management teams on there will not go to waste. I'm pretty sure they will only do Blizzard content now, which is a bit sad, but it will at the very least raise the bar higher for eSports. I wish them the best of luck, and hopefully volunteer at one of their events at some point (I volunteered at IPL3 before).
ZorroShwanWhere is the money going if the goal isn't reached?
Does it go to tf.tv? multiplay? an individual? also who makes that decision?
http://www.indiegogo.com/how-pricing-works-on-indiegogo
apparently if we dont reach the goal all the money donated goes right back to the donators
=/
That is not correct, this fundraiser is run on Flexible Funding (as I answered Shwan earlier, which I guess you missed?), which means if the goal is not reached, instead of Indiegogo only taking 4% of a cut, they will take 9%.
vileYou will receive a special, i49-specific badge in the forums of TeamFortress.TV and be able to represent your favorite team and/or nationality.
22d 22d 22d?
A team that's attending i49.
Noramana- violin for 16 years thus far, nowadays occasionally play (switch to a 5 string electric)
- did piano for about...6? 7? years, really only to support my violin
- clarinet for about 4-5 years, mostly in band
- bassoon for a year, in band
- guitar, just recently, maybe a couple months though I gotta play it more
- synthesizers/DAW on and off for about 12 years, doing more of it recently
- gameboy, only just recently acquired, it's pretty awesome
What DAW do you use/prefer? I've been using Live 8.
FL Studio, on PC. I use Tabletop on iPad (since I work on it for my day job).
Dude, panzer, I totally forgot, I did Samulnori too, also Seoljanggu. Let me see if I can find vids...
Samulnori https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d-BCJ2d5TE I'm sitting in the second to last row-ish, near the middle.

Met CarboN at LAN, cool dude, so there's that. Give 'em a try!
numlockedwhat does a blue name mean?
edit: also, what does a green name mean :D
Blue is for Invite or Premiership players. Green is TeamFortress.TV cameraman-related staff (camera, casters, etc.). Purple is Twitch John.
Hey accless, fundraiser manager here, I haven't had a chance to respond to this; please keep it up! This is fantastic. I was thinking about adding a perk for this exact kind of thing, but it was kinda more complicated than we could manage (though, we still have the option to add more perks later anyways). If there's anything I can do to help you here, you have my attention.
krakowJunior @ UC Berkeley. Come here if you like to spend a lot of time studying.
And to all ye hopefuls looking to get into top schools such as MIT/Ivy Leagues, you need to have both impressive accomplishments and some luck (unless you're black/mexican/native american/poor) I believe my high school had 6 Intel Semifinalists my senior year, and only 4 of them were accepted to MIT.
I just recently dropped out of Berkeley (EECS) because I ended up getting a job but not graduating. With this kind of economy, the choice is pretty obvious. I plan on finishing (only one semester left), though. Good to see that you understand that it's all study at that school. :) It really is.
fraacCan I get my weapon signed by Lange rather than one of the team? I just think he's cooler.
I'm sure he'd love to sign it. :) The fundraiser's perk guarantees you get it signed by the winning team.
KerchmanaMan, you Euros are loaded. We almost have $3k BY THE THIRD DAY. Holy crap. At this rate (obviously it'll taper off eventually, but still), we'll be able to send Lange, ehFk and the crew like three times over...
I really hope we can reach the target before the 60 days are up and then raise enough to help the Aussies out. I'd really like to see them have a chance to show what they can do, as they don't even get the opportunity to play EU or US teams at ~100 ping, let alone at LAN.
I would love to see them go too, though this fundraiser is not in cahoots with them. From random words by yuki it sounds like they're more likely to be going than not.
KeyIf we exceed our goal, is there a chance to send 2 American teams to i49????
Sorry, no. If we exceed our goal, the first objective is to have better coverage of i49 (staff + equipment); after that will go to the i49 prize pool. Another team would have to raise it themselves.
ShwanWhere is the money going if the goal isn't reached?
Does it go to tf.tv? multiplay? an individual? also who makes that decision?
enigma and I make a joint decision, but to avoid conflict of interest, it's primarily my call. It honestly depends on how much we make; if the team decides to go even with the reduced amount, it will go to them. If not, then we haven't entirely figured out where it will go. It could go to Team Immunity, it could go to the i49 prize pool. But, that seems entirely unlikely, at the moment. :)
OOVOOVneed a ride from north berkeley since jimmy may/may not be dodging
If sting is going from San Francisco, North Berkeley would be on the way up.
