Hello! First season of open. Please help me. :) Looking for a mentor that would hopefully be willing to help on an on-going basis as I keep scrimming and playing matches in season 20. Literally tell me how awful I am and how I can do better, over and over. How could you not enjoy that? Plus I'm a pretty chill person. We already have one thing in common and it's TF2 so don't worry.

Hi guys, I've got 2500+ hours in TF2, 400+ hours as Scout. I've played a bunch of Highlander and UGC 6s. Looking for a low open team of people who want to get better, who have at least some dedication to the game. Looking to see how far I can get in Open. I'm over 18, have a positive attitude towards the game and like hanging out even if we're not playing the organized TF2.

More PCs available would have been great. It was stressful playing 'cause I never knew if everything would go right. Configs really screwed me over a few times. In this case it would've been good to have one computer assigned to two different people, just to limit the amount of configs being installed. To be fair I probably don't know the most effective way to wipe and reinstall configs, though.

Kinda didn't like the monitors but I get it. They probably get more MOBA players than FPS. And having a 144 for each of their setup would've been $$$$ as heck. I would've considered bringing my own had I known.

Still good though, you obviously put a lot of effort into organizing it. Thank you!!

I loved the i49 doc and have watched it several times mostly because of the awesome story and narration created within it. I don't know if that's possible this time. Lange was a great narrator and had a good script to read. Plus there seemed to be ample footage of pre-LAN boot camping, after-hours festivities and gaming itself as bones and cube no doubt filmed with that narration in mind. From what I've seen so far on YT there are candid moments from the LAN but not enough to create a story apart from the LAN bracket itself. I'd love to be wrong about that, though.

If it comes down to a lot of frag montages mixed in with some casting audio (those guys went nuts), plus any good interviews or life-at-LAN footage it could be a decent showcase.

I wish I could go to iLANs just to film.

Hey - just throwing it out there - I have a ton of experience with Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer / Avid Pro Tools. I work in TV professionally. If you guys need extra help cutting segments I'm totally in.
