#12 What to upgrad next? in Hardware
LinMukhtar1it's actually very unreasonable to get consistent 120 fps on rust; i tried.

i can stream tf2 with ~130-180 fps using a 760+4670k(unclocked)
Does that stream csgo well?

it shouldn't have any trouble with it

#27 Player skill rating added to the game in TF2 General Discussion

if this is actually related to a competitive lobby system i'll be extremely happy. who cares if it's highlander: valve is acknowledging and supporting the competitive scene. also as kurt said it would be a good way for them to balance the game and fix the dumb weapons (for example when they released that new pistol in csgo they used stats from mm to help balance it).

#7 Twitch nuking VODs: we need help saving them in TF2 General Discussion

We do have every TFTV match on YouTube including LANs but I still think it should be archived elsewhere in case something happens to YouTube or in case we forgot to upload a match to our channel

#13 Hitbox.tv intergration in Site Discussion
r4ptureseanbudknee-jerk best-jerk
Knee jerk or not, a lot more people are talking about hitbox then they were before. I don't feel like this site should limit itself to just Twitch when there are other options available that people would like to use (if it is limited, I don't know how the sidebar adding works and such).

if more people streamed to hitbox it would be on the sidebar, but the problem is that that incentive to stream there is not present. twitch, up until now, was infinitely better and more popular and nobody is going to stream to a site where tf2 and indeed many games have almost no presence outside of a couple hearthstone or league of legends streams. unless you have a previous audience on something other than twitch you would have a hard time gaining an audience on hitbox.

#98 Twitch now scanning VODs for copyrighted content in Off Topic
Apolloftwhttps://github.com/GarethLewin/MusicForStreamers/blob/master/README.md
http://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/2cty32/monstercat_catalogue_700_songs_for_twitch/
The music problems are solved.
Also, if you have purchased any music from MonsterCat, be sure to credit the song with:
"Music provided by Monstercat".

that doesnt solve the music problems at all since there have been proven false detections and that the problem lies in the crappy service that twitch uses to detect content.

#12 CEVO Profesional: Classic Mixup vs. Exertus eSports in Events
Niko_JimsWhy not just have music on and just restart the stream when you are about to start?

I don't see any downside to this and it saves someone HDD space.

because it is another thing for the camera to worry about, its overall unnecessary (why start the stream before the match in the first place in that case?), and its an inconvenience for the people watching. i would rather this change be rolled back and if it isn't, we can do local recording for the vod and clip it offline.

#5 Hitbox.tv intergration in Site Discussion

iirc hitbox is run by the guys who wrote the software own3d used. honestly hitbox is an okay site, I watch a dota tourney on there regularly and it has always operated smoothly.

also dreamhack paid for their music licenses and their vods got muted, this is dumb and a bad implementation of this system.

#25 Twitch now scanning VODs for copyrighted content in Off Topic

gonna be pretty blunt here, this is so fucking stupid. we all saw it coming but content id on youtube still doesn't work properly and from what I've heard from friends who stream regularly their vods are like 3/4 to fully muted.

can google just like fuck off forever please
