cage-yahoo article? what even
its actually yahoo voices, which allows anyone to contribute i think.
Aldermake sure to enable console in the advanced keyboard settings so i can tell you to input all kindsa things while you're playing to make your game as optimal as possible
expanding on this, here are some good commands:
- fov_desired 90
tf2's default fov is shitty and low, this is the maximum fov allowed.
- r_drawviewmodel 0
use this to hide weapon models so you can shoot easier, OR
- viewmodel_fov 90
increase the viewmodel fov so it takes up less space on most weapons (setting this to 0 removes tracers and hides the weapon)
i think we (or another site probably) gave it the hug of death. or maybe they're having server issues. but sounds like a cool idea, best luck to them.
countdown to rip spectator plugins part 2
TheReachFreaksyeah, with an upload like that. your better off not streaming, sorry.
My Speedtest -
most u need to stream in a decent quality is about 2mbps up
RoyceAndKennethA tournament that is intended to be broadcast in a very public fashion should have very strong fakenicking rules or very well put together configs for the new statusspec command that all of the casters are using. It makes TF2 look pretty stupid when casters are calling people something different than what they have on screen. It just makes it look disjointed and unprofessional.Yeah there was this guy, Mason, in Dota 2 tagged up as 9TEnTaCLeSurPriSe for the longest time and he was playing for EG, one of the top teams in the entire world. Don't know how many people here follow Dota but shit like that has really hurt the scene recently, they're barely scraping by with 10 million dollar tournaments.
pretty sure he was one of the reasons valve finally decided to force nicks in tournaments lol
here are some bugs kurt and i found:
- turning team-colored outlines off doesnt actually turn them off, it keeps the health-based outlines enabled (the commands were correct and everything)
- (this could be a spec tools bug) refreshing the hud crashes the game
sorry guys, we're trying to sort out some issues with truktruk's tf2. blame valve.
Limb-ohhFayngNewbie Mixes help a lotomniFinding out about stuff like newbies mixes is a great way to get started. I'm sure someone can give you a link to somewhere you can get involved.
In terms of TF2Center, just join them anyway dude. I have 5,000+ hours and there are people with thousands of hours less than that who are better than me. Hours don't always mean they're too good for you. Give them a shot, you'll learn from better players, get shouted at, get headshot by perma-snipers and all kinds of other dumb shit. But it's okay, just keep at it, you'll notice an improvement every time you play, as long as you're not ignorant to improving.
Thanks, I'll check out these fabled "newbie mixes"
they usually happen on the weekend, keep an eye on the event sidebar.
UniverserulerSince it says "I49 rebroadcast part 1", the whole rebroadcast will probably cover a bit more than just the finals.
yes, it will include more than just the finals. basically everything vtv streamed during the event.
updated my setup slightly so here's a new pic (slightly washed out, phone cameras arent the greatest in these lighting conditions D:)

decided to get a new microphone stand in order to make more space on my desk and i replaced my old and gunky mousepad with a newer one. also my computer is slightly dusty.
thanks for watching, sorry about stv and scoreboard issues. will have them fixed come next cast.
is it too late to register for this?
edit: also if i go i would definitely not have a computer. are there any rental pcs available or does someone have an extra one?
