thats a nonsense argument for a lot of reasons. first, this kid got his guns legally, as do most shooters. making guns more difficult to get prevents gun crime - just look at the gun crime and homicide rates of every country in the world that makes it difficult to buy a gun. second, you're still operating on the assumption that having a gun makes you more protected against gun crime - it doesnt. statistically you are much much more likely to be hurt or killed by a gun if you're a gun owner.
the "good guy with a gun" thing is also flat out wrong for a lot of reasons. one, the good guy with a gun just looks like a guy with a gun to a police officer or other first responder. this is something that happens pretty frequently in america; cops show up, shoot the guy with the gun, and it turns out he was trying to shoot the other guy with the gun. two, the good guy with a gun can only be successful if he knows who the bad guy with a gun is. lets take a recent example, the las vegas killings. what in the hell is a guy with a gun supposed to do in that situation? shoot wildly at a hotel building where it seems like the gunshots are coming from? how about the killing this thread is about. you have a person with a gun walking around a school, looking for the kid doing the killing. do you think real life is an action movie, where our hero gets the jump on the shooter and kills him with a headshot? or are we operating in real life, where someone running around a school with a pistol trying to hunt someone else down is extremely likely to hurt and kill innocent bystanders (as often happens in situations where a "good guy with a gun" actually shows up). even police officers only hit something like 20% of their shots on target, do you think an adrenaline pumped civilian with little to no training is going to do much better than that? probably not.
ValorousTFStylaxstarkaStylaxWeird how lots of other countries have guns but America is the one with the biweekly shootingsWere there no cops/ student resource officers at the school? Normally they have guns.
NRA already apparently said that the issue was that the school had no guns to defend itself. wat
Duno. But I mean all that would mean is a shootout. Kids can still die very easily. Especially if the shooters are multiple
Isn't a shootout much more favourable to a one-sided slaughter?
Had there been a security guard or someone equipped and trained to respond to such a threat then maybe the outcome would have been better, just a thought though.
the school had a cop/security guard who had a gun. it didn't matter. the good guy with a gun shit is so tired at this point.
pocketsoldiermanWhat is the point. Where is the fun in beating people by cheating. This question has been asked a billion times, but I still don't understand. Your accomplishments in an FPS mean nothing if you're cheating.
this thread is the point
yes, i've spent hours on that lego jump too
ok i haven't pplayed tf2 in a year but i read this thread and everyone is always mad about power rankings so i decided to do power rankings based on how much i like the teams name
1. mr_popo_rocks - mr popo does rock
2. The Gugs - powerful syllable
3. Frick and Da Boys - good name, grungy, evocative
4. Garfield Fanclub - who could hate that lovable, lasagna eating furball
5. BOONK_GANG - i have a soft spot for the gang naming scheme and boonk is a good thing to append to it.
6. DoublePlusGood - even tho this is like a weak highschool level reference the book is still p good so u got a good spot.
7. back in the habit - relevant cause im still looking at this forum a year after i last played
8-12. any team with "esports" in the team name. can u imagine if you were watching tv and they were like next up we have the eagles sports vs. the patriots sports. u all have to relax.
13. The Salty Seamen - yeah, ok, whatever
14. Theory of Knowledge - seems like a tryhard name
15. BIG DAMAGE - naming ur team after something people say in the game all the time is a bad idea.
16. Velocity Black - im unimpressed by this b-team name
17. Gods of Destruction - seems like a 15 year old named this team
18. The Gunners - same as above, if these team names are ironic it might be ok or it might be even worse. idk.
19. Kings Crew TF2 - same thing with having "esports" in ur name but even dumber, cmon dude
20. kronge realm - if this is supposed to be like "cringe" heres what u get. if its something other than cringe u can move it up like 7-10 places cause of "realm"
21. Pancake-Waffle Rifle - do u just totally love invader zim
22. carpool cucks - what is this, 2016? get with the times fellas
23. Coon Platoon - seems racist, if its not im sorry.
i remember the first hat drop i ever got, which was the dragonborn helmet.
woah a good nuanced post wtf, who are u
wow u guys are dumb as hell
i feel terrible for anyone who hasnt ever seen snow. its magic as hell.

i have not fucked nor will i ever fuck; that is my sworn volcel pledge
black african soap to replace ur normal soap can be helpful
everyone always hypothesizes about some sort of millionaire benefactor with a love of tf2 that will swoop down from the heavens and save the scene. i think tfcl is it
