Shoosh4812622MonkeySuitYou're making a mistake. I convinced lots of people to play 6s and all of them quit within one season. People just have to want to do this themselves.
This has been my experience as well, unfortunately. Most players find out they don't want to play seriously in two weeks.
A sad defeatist outlook on life, you should think about changing that.
lmao
2 factor auth, change your pw on other accounts if they share a pw with your old gmail account. those 2 things will prolly prevent bad things from happening
nuzeCondoMI feel like banning the weapon would also do more harm than good - ideally a weapon as unbalanced as the crossbow would not be in comp at all but it's been in the game so long that I don't think the change would sit well with most of the player base. It should be banned but it's so fundamental in current 6v6 play that if you ban it people will overreact, not just medic mains.
i think at this point most people would agree that nothing we can do as a community will grow the competitive-specific playerbase in any significant way, so we should focus on setting up the weapon bans so that the game is as much fun as possible. i cant imagine the crossbow getting banned would have a major impact on the single most die-hard subset of tf2 players. i mean, we're talking about players who have stuck around through an unbelievable number of ineffectual or damaging decisions made by valve just to play an unpopular, totally fabricated version of the game. if we can improve that experience, we should, and we should keep it that way up until the day valve gives official support to some other version of the game.
theres no point in discussing theoretical stat changes to weapons unless we are developing a promod. we need to decide if things should be banned or not based on their current stats.
really, the "3rd most played game on steam" stat is so misleading when compared to CS because tf2 is a free game. like a third of the players on any given valve server likely just installed the game, and will never play it again after that day. another third are just people who downloaded the free game and accidentally launched it for an hour before realizing that it's running in the background
wow, i'm going to be thinking about roger moore for a long time
lol why are you like this spyromancer
regardless of the letter of the law, he was clearly handled in a way that far exceeded the necessary level of force. as a corporation, they've made a mistake. what they ought to do to rectify that mistake is not forcibly eject the consumer from their plane. if the voucher and hotel room that they offered didn't convince anyone to get off of the plane, then they should increase their voucher payout, it's a simple as that. instead, they bullied and physically assaulted an old asian man while remaining within the letter of the law in doing so. that doesn't make what they did right, and they deserve 100% of the backlash that they are getting for handling it the way that they did.

each character has abilities
each character has different move speeds
each character has different health/armor stats
each character has different levels of movement
only one armor tier
the game is a mess
quake is a dead game, so what is their incentive to just make an updated version of quake live or cpma? they are doing things in an attempt to make the game relevant without completely alienating their existing playerbase. they have said multiple times that the final game will have a classic duel mode where both players are identical, so why the fuck are you so concerned about them adding features? the beta had 2 gamemodes in it and only a handful of maps, so how are you confident that green is going to be the only armor tier?
and yeah it sucks that its going to have a crappy f2p model but the company has to make money to make video games, thats how life works. everything you post reeks of the same shit that quake fans are known for, being obstinate retards whenever anything isn't completely fucking identical to the game they are familiar with. if you want to play cpma, then go play cpma. im sure dudes like you will be playing it for the next 100 years while the rest of us move on.
