jediflamasterI haven't seen it. Do show, please.
h0b5t3rDespite not being Christian I'd much rather live in a modern Christian Theocracy than a modern Islamic Theocracy.
It's a pity then that the Republicans follow a decidedly outdated version of Christianity.
spammyI disagree. Quake and Reflex both have an option to change these values to basically whatever you want them to be, you can hide viewmodels if you don't like them. This is not something "aesthetic", it's a simple customization.
I suppose the difference is that Quake and Reflex are targeted towards hardcore gamers whereas a lot of tf2 is designed around appealing to a more casual crowd. That's part of the reason why so many tf2 players have always been so negative towards competitive. Now Valve is trying to change that, but they're also going to keep trying to appeal to the more casual players as well.
I want to build a completely new pc to get ~150 fps @ 1080p in TF2 and CS:GO, so that later this year or early next I can upgrade to a 120+ hz monitor. Don't really need much more than that for now, but my absolute maximum budget is probably around AU$1200. I already have a monitor at home I can re-use, but I'll need to get a keyboard, so spare cash will potentially get put toward a nice mechanical one. Haven't built a pc for myself before, although I helped a mate with his this year. I've made up a list based off a few helpful websites but I'd appreciate some feedback.

Kevinnclick dont show this message again
If that hasn't worked for you, then you've probably made your config.cfg read only. Go to the file's properties and untick read only, then click ok. Then go in game and click 'don't show this message again' (for each annoying popup you never want to see again), and then type 'host_writeconfig' in console. Then you can make your config read only again.
fr3fouEDIT: even in CS all you need to have is atleast 200 wins (correct me)
it's 150
fr3fouWelp, but still you can be nova 1 and "ban" people that are not cheating
You get a rank based on how accurate you are compared to other people, it's fairly safe to assume that people who are wrong a lot won't really have a say compared to people who are more accurate. Plus, since the rank shift nova 1s have to be slightly more competent at the game than before (pre rank-shift nova 1 equates to silver 1 or 2 now).
noidayWarmup/Deathmatch mode - it would be pretty fun to have a true free-for-all deathmatch in TF2 much like CSGO has. The way friendly fire mechanics work currently in TF2 make this a big hastle so our current mods only allow team vs team deathmatch. If we could have a neutral color or simply a fully functioning friendly fire, it would make TF2 deathmatch a pretty big deal for warming up and practicing your aim/movement. You could combine this game mode with the arguably not so successful one, Mannpower, remove the grappling hooks and you're left with a Free For All Deathmatch with powerups.
Yuck, yuck, yuck yuck
Even CS:GO FFA isn't supported by Valve lol
konrI haven't signed off of it, my point is more about the cvars and weird choices than anything too.
TF2 Matchmaking Beta
Stress Test
What part of that don't you understand? The priority isn't working out the nitty gritty of which commands will be enabled, the point currently is to make sure the servers actually work when thousands of people are trying to connect at once. If you took part in today's test then I'm sure you understand why that needs to be prioritised over random commands?
Troopo I agree that there should be some reasonable class limitations so people can't run 6 engineers or something.
Smithsonianthis is what impressed me most. A few games against multiple medics even, and some solid pub players. There was only one rage quit against our stack, everyone else were pretty good about it.
heh
we tried the 6 engi strat, it actually worked quite well, held you guys off for a good 3 minutes or something lol
DavidTheWin_KermitDue to a lack of cameramen or casters? I can cast again if need be.
A lack of twitch channels
is it that hard to register a new one?
fnmWill you get a pass if you have a custom hud?
If you get chosen, yes.
Viewmodels can be turned off currently, it's just that when they are on they're locked to reasonable values so your weapons don't look stupid.
vanizoom_sensitivity_ratio is locked at 1, which is stupid.
oh is that why I missed everything as sniper... valve pls fix
