Your problem sounds similar to one I had about a year ago. Unfortunately you need to roll back your drivers.

sulnKind of blows that it sucks. There was a lot of hype for it.
That's why people are saying it sucks; it was hyped too much. People expected something more than an MMO with Elder Scrolls lore attached to it and I have no idea why.
As an MMO, it's a respectable game; decent combat, intuitive UI, lots of polish. Its biggest downfall will be its business model. 60 bucks and 15 a month is just such an outdated business model. This game's going f2p within a year, no question.
MarleyIf you like super hexagon type games this is for you, and its crazy addictive
Super Hexagon is really hard though. This is cool and everything but imo it's too easy to be addictive at all. I got like 50 points then just stopped playing. Looking at this thread, everybody broke 100 on their first try. :\
great pickup. he's mid-open at everything and his dm is strong, although his gamesense is weak since he doesn't do enough 6s. sometimes he plays medic but only if he really likes the people he's healing.
he's got a lot of experience in highlander up to a gold level and he's played a little esea. most of his 6s experience has been in ugc, and he's played plat there.
his demo is pretty good but he uses the donk launcher. i'd recommend picking him up as a scout because it's by far his strongest class.

NEVER GIVE UP #THEDREAM
Song's a classic. I've never heard the Chris Hadfield version of it though. Chris Hadfield seriously is the man.
Extraction makes me want to die a little. It seems like I'm made the collector only whenever I'm completely surrounded by enemies.
Please.
I don't mind the third person. The only thing about it I dislike is that it's not really viable for either party to fight point-blank.
I assume you unlock the competitive mode by leveling up.
Every game altering aspect can be unlocked by just playing.
I have no idea about balance honestly. As far as I know, beam snipers are king at the moment, but pretty much everything is viable if you just play casually. Hell, the slug rifle with no special attachements or mods is a good enough weapon as long as you can aim it.
LazyPandaobe_ Besides, this game so far has set itself apart from lots of F2P MMO's that are considered WoW clones. Things as simple as cutscenes, moral choices, and quests that involve more than "go here, kill this many things, bring back some stuff." If WoW had all of that then I guess every MMO that tried to copy it did a fuckin' terrible job, because none of this shit is existent in any F2P MMO I've played. It's not going to be a F2P game. Sure its free right now while you can beta test it for a day or two at a time without anything being saved, but once the game comes out its going to be $15 a month. Honestly after playing the beta a bit with some friends and seeing the cost per month, theres no way im going to be playing ESO once it comes out
Yeah I feel pretty dumb. That part of my post is pretty much moot. I still maintain that this is far from a bad game, and my point about "WoW clones."
All of that said, if they keep that sub model... this game's gonna have a rough launch. It's good and everything but from what I've read it's 60 bucks + 15 bucks per month, with the first month being free. And you need to pay for the Imperial race. Like what the fuck. The point of sub models is so you don't have to deal with paying extra money for more content.
They really need to re-evaluate their monetary approach to this game. It's going to go the same route as Star Trek Online.
why are we badgering him instead of answering his question?
MedusaPretty much a WoW clone. I feel absolutely 0% Elder Scrolls flair. (Tbf oblivion and skyrim couldn't give me much more but still...)
I've never really understood why the phrase "WoW clone" exists considering WoW itself ripped the best stuff from EverQuest and made it better. It's like saying [enter moba here] is a League clone.

Honestly, so far, the game seems pretty solid. The Elder Scrolls aspect of it isn't the best, but I'm pretty sure everybody's considering this game completely non-canon as far as lore goes, so I'm not surprised that they're just kinda using the basics (races, geography, the daedric princes, etc) as a launching pad for a story that's just totally disconnected from the rest of the lore. Although I was pretty surprised when somebody said "Thank the Eight" in one of the quests I did.
I just don't really see a reason to outright hate the game unless you were here for the lore and you really hate MMOs no matter what. As far as an MMO goes I think it's doing a decent job. The polish on the game goes a REALLY long way because it honestly just feels like I'm playing Skyrim except with more interesting class abilities and it's online. Combat's a little choppy sometimes, but overall it's pretty fluid as long as your connection is stable and the server isn't bogged down with users. There's a lot of little things too, like if you look at the quest marker it'll say what quest it's for and if it's on a higher or lower plane than you currently are. It's kickass. I have not gotten lost or felt intimidated by my surroundings at any point in the game so far.
Plus these guys know how to optimize. The fact that I can run this on my junkster laptop blows my mind. The low graphics options really improve performance. I love how they handle draw distance too. I don't know if this is standard, but you can see things from far away but they had super low LOD until they come within your draw distance. Lots of MMOs have draw distance options but some create, like, a stupid fog or something so you're just blind to everything outside of your draw distance. It's just a game breaker for people on low-end machines.
Idk, I'm getting nothing but good vibes from this game. I think they're doing a lot right.
That said, tbh though there's no point in playing this. It's already been one up'd.
GOTYAY
yeah it took me 8 hours to dl this thing. i remember seeing "1000mb remaining" after about two hours and only being at like 29% and being like "well what the fuck is the other 70%!?"
(the answer is patches. lots of patches..)
