You seem to be using a custom version, so that's a hard question to answer.

The Christmas update broke your HUD. It's generally a good idea to reinstall your HUD after most updates (usually every week or two), but this will not work for this update, as a missing element in HudMedicCharge.res will cause TF2 to crash.

You have two options here:
1) Download the latest version of the HUD and reapply any customisations or changes.
2) Patch in the HudMedicCharge.res file from the latest version. You'll still be missing some other changed files.

The first is recommended. If you go with the second, you shouldn't come here for help.

omniOne little thing I noticed, using the Loose Cannon and any Demo Shield at the same time puts both charge bars inside one another.

I'm aware of this bug; expect a fix in a week or so. (I'm in Canada right now.)

i remember the day of the update i tried reinstalling this and it caused my game to crash every time. didn't feel like trying to figure out the problem and ive just been running stock for now. i think im gonna reinstall it now and see if it works

If you are talking about the Christmas update, it was fixed a few hours after.

cabooseI haven't read this thread completely, and I might be wrong, but from what I know your hud doesn't support 16:9 aspect ratios. Is this what's causing it?

It's actually primarily designed for 16:9. However, the aspect ratio should not affect the font, but it's entirely possible the resolution does. TF2's font rendering seems to be pretty bad.

[edit] Just tested at 1366x768 specifically and it seems to be fine, at least on Linux.

RAWRWAFLI really like this hud, but something that really bugs me is that the "1"s aren't showing up properly.

is there any solution to this?

Seems to be the font being rendered poorly on your system; the other characters look pretty bad as well. Not sure what is causing it or how it could be fixed. I suppose a heavier font may prevent the 1's from being near-invisible, but it probably wouldn't address the root of the problem.

BapeLove the hud, would love to know how to get a custom main menu though. The default one just bores me and is too scattered. Is there a certain file I edit or what?

I believe the files would be resource/GameMenu.res and resource/ui/MainMenuOverride.res. You can copy one from another HUD if you change the fonts.

joraneySo, I just added the thing from #13 to hudMedicCharge.res, and deleted my main menu override files, but what MainMenu.res file is he talking about? I only see main.res and Main Menu Saxxy Awards.res. Can someone tell me what to delete?

It should actually be resource/GameMenu.res.

[edit] You can set enable/visible to 0 on the ubercharge shadow element to get rid of it until I figure out a better fix.

It's not deleted for some unknown reason; any file that is changed in an update is deleted from the local files. In this update, some new elements were added to HudPlayerHealth.res, related to the new medigun.

Just pushed a fixed version for the Christmas update.

As I don't have proper access to TF2, I had to do this all over VNC, which is really slow and irritating, so I wasn't able to do much testing. That said, everything seems to be working fine.

(I was not able to test it because I do not have the weapon, but there probably is a bug with the ubercharge shadow if you're using the new medigun. I'll fix this later.)

[edit] If anybody has an extra Vaccinator, or one for borrow, I would really appreciate it.

PeteTehHitmanHey Omp, I was wondering if you could possibly implement backpack navigation hot keys such as these:

I'm probably not going to be able to work on anything for a bit, so I'll consider it over my break. In any case, a little secret for you: unless I remove any files, which I don't see myself doing anytime soon, you can simply overwrite your resources/ and scripts/ folders with the new ones, which should leave any files you've added intact.

applesauceOne request though, could you add an alternative cross hp version for target ID like the player health?

Perhaps when I have some free time. For a feature request like this, which I probably won't get around to quickly, it might be a good idea to open an issue on the GitHub page. Otherwise, I may forget you wanted it.

Hmm, did you make sure to update hudlayout.res? Seems to be positioned/sized for the previous menu. In any case, I at least "fixed" the height issue, although I use that term loosely as it shouldn't have affected anybody else.

Finally got around to adding a custom disguise menu for the spy. It's in the same style as the redesigned engineer menus.

I think this was the last major feature the HUD was missing. From this point on, I'll focus on improving certain parts whenever I have motivation to work on it.
