#3 i58 games on YouTube? in TF2 General Discussion

I made a thread for easier VOD watching, here it is: http://www.teamfortress.tv/35844/i58-vods

The TF.TV team has been taking a while to upload VODs lately for some reason, they haven't uploaded Dreamhack matches yet either.

#23 Overwatch World Cup teams announced in Other Games

Hoping Dammi and the rest of peruvians can do well, despite having a SR 41 girl streamer on the team.

feforYeah, i can recognize Godman.nwL yibraN and dammi, all of em tf2 pros from south america

Chile has 4 youtubers on their team, one of which hasn't even played ranked at all, lmao. YibraN is the only dps player there, I think.

#3 Windtunnel Tactics, 3/6 first out of Insomnia58 playoffs in News
FunsSpaceCadetToo bad there was no casting coverage of the XENEX / WindTunnel Bo3. Would have given NA players a taste of Reckoner. We were only casted once :(

Still better than Comfortably Spanked not being casted at all.
Was hyped to watch the Dennia machina sniper once again :c

Handcuffedtomislav is unbanned in Europe? really?

Yup, along with machina and a few others. Full whitelist here: http://whitelist.tf/multiplay_i58

5.1k viewers :o

Also new hud should have been tested beforehand maybe, those "overhealed" black bars take too much space imo, and the ubercharge bars should at least change colors when full.

I'm actually surprised we only lost about 500 viewers after this hour long (and counting) delay

#6 MM Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion
  • Let people choose the region they want to play at so me and most of the south american playerbase can play casual/MM with less than 200 ping.
  • Always give some exp to the winning team, even if the other team had leavers.
  • Set class limits, max. of 2 for each class would be a good start.
  • Have some kind of reward item for each new rank you get
  • Ban the hackers that are in the top 10 already

Edit: Oh and also have placement matches so ranks aren't a mess (I think they are working on it though?)

#25 how to not dubai in TF2 General Discussion

I've tried casual a bit these days and this is simply ridiculous: http://i.imgur.com/ZEZhM5m.jpg

All of South America seems to have shitty routing to Chile servers, and most do to Brazil servers as well. I used to be able to join Valve NA servers and play with a decent 110-130 ping. Now there's no way around it since casual/comp just send you to the closest servers to your location most of the time.

And I'm not saying this just because of me, since I don't play that much anymore, but for all of those people who are new to the game and have to learn to play with that atrocious 200+ ping. Ping limitations or a server region selection could fix this.

#5 ESEA S22 W7: froyotech vs. EVL Gaming in Matches
AlexandrosHas blaze officially left froyo?

Yes

b4nnyYou probably notice that blaze is no longer our starting roamer, as it turned out he is unable to attend i58 and will be missed. We are welcoming TLR back out of retirement to attend i58 as our starting pocket soldier.
