I liked teto's personality when I pugscrimmed with him, and I played with novice and seven at LAN before. The three of them make up a very respectable core for an IM team.
The three of them are hardworking individuals that take improvement seriously.
Why did this get bumped? They aren't recruiting any new players.
Many people felt that they were a top open team at the start of the season. The fact that they slightly exceeded expectations doesn't really move the needle for me. This wasn't a team projected to finish 6-10 this season.
Very nice and kindhearted player. Has gotten better over the last month or so. Easily high open in terms of skill. I hope the best for him - and I hope someone gives him a proper starting role. He deserves a real chance on a contending open team. I think his positioning problems will solve themselves within a season considering that he has a really great temperament for learning.
cabin, kev, cprice, shrt, and cozen are all quite wonderful people to play with and speak with in mumble. Cabin's very determined and sets very high goals for himself - and it seems like it's panning out for him which is great to see. His serious personality makes him a very good captain for this unit. Shrt is adorable, and is a pleasant person to pug with. Kev has good DM and will make you laugh (which I like in a guy). He's gotten a lot better over the past two seasons. Cozen is still growing as a medic and will probably be tremendous at his position one day. I'm really glad that cprice came back to the game. I enjoy his mentality when it comes to pocketing.
These guys deserve something pretty special.
He's improved quite a bit since S13. He's become far more influential on midfights than he used to be. I'd definitely recommend him for a trial. I think he's going to continue to rise for the time being as he begins to come even more into shape as a player.
I've always played against him, so I cannot attest to his personality in mumble. He has been polite to me in all of our steam chats so I'd assume he'd be the same in a more personal setting.
Good luck, Cali.
Very good mountain climber
An up-and-coming roamer
Nice voice to have in mumble
Intense in-game personality that needs a team to match
Loves to play HL
Luck's been down him with his rig recently breaking down
Amazingly fine young man
:)
I personally enjoy mixing up the three based on whatever situation I'm in. I see each one as a tool that has its specific uses.
I used the quickfix almost exclusively in a scrim last night, and the first thing I noticed is that positioning and staging pushes is a WHOLE lot different than anything I've ever done before. If you don't know what your pocket is thinking at all times then it's going to get ugly... ...fast. I think that teams with a cohesive combo could be cooking with gas if they insert this medigun into their game plan.
I think he offers more to a team as a demoman than a scout. He has a more passive playstyle than a lot of other demoman trialers.
The two things he needs to improve on are not clicking the "safe link", and not dropping screws into his new fan on matchday. Outside of that, I think he'll be ready to make a playoff push in S15.
Has a good sense of humor that I enjoyed playing with for the past 2.5 seasons. He's one of the core players from the two-season Wu-Tang Financal era that I will never forget.
Definitely worth a trial. Good luck, crossfire.
Needs to be at 260 to really be effective when going forward. Has the ability to put out 400+ dpm if he actually does get his 260.
He also may rub a few people off as being a little too proud (I don't subscribe to this as much, however). His attitude towards achievement and progress is very good. His best bet is to join a team that builds around him and pushes based on his level of aggression.
BleakX has the talent to play on a playoff Open team. With that said, there are some risks (his occasional over-aggression, personality won't fit everywhere).
Great guy to pug with - always cracking jokes. Nice personality on the chap with some decent sniper play as well.
Good luck Bosh
Thanks, guys.
I'm going to be available from around 10-10:30 EST onward on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
EmmaWatsonThings to work on
-I get a little bit flustered at times
-taking criticism (projection)
Most people who have serious frustration problems do not have the ability to be honest with themselves and admit it.
I would not worry about getting flustered as a medic - every medic at some point has been in a scrim/pug/match where the team hangs him out to dry and makes him look bad. I think a good trick that might help you here is to consider all problems as being TEAM problems first and foremost. I've learned that outside of DM/attitude issues, most errors in a match are a result of coordination/timing/communication issues.
Danerdz is growing as a player, but he's got a few things to work on for next season. I think his heal output isn't near the output of high IM medics, and that he's easy to catch out when he plays a high line.
I would say that Danerdz is a top Open player. I have no complaints regarding his attitude or behavior. Danerdz certainly has potential and is a quality guy. I would say low IM teams should give him a trial and see how he fits.
Putting the words "high IM" on your looking thread hurt you since when you say that I immediately think "how does this player compare to grillz, WirelessFox, and Deltafox?". That's tough company to keep.
Bumping.
I have a trial set up for early tonight. I'm available from Monday-Thursday.
