I don't have too many complaints when it comes to this guy. Pretty sound medic that isn't prone to rage.
Tery is wonderful. He's a better team captain than I am. There are a few things that I'd change about how he approaches the game from a tactical point of view, but I wouldn't worry much about that as he's receptive and a quick study.
This team needs an assertive demoman very badly - and if they get one they'll be a dangerous outfit in S15.
Nothing but best wishes, radium.
Absolutely loved the percussion. The song came together pretty well, even if the structure felt a bit messy.
mustardoverlordI love big kyle but
radiumHis effeciency and ability to save vital ubers are almost unmatched in today's game. bl4nk and Von play a style that demands him to be creative and find unconventional solutions to common medic problems
wtf are you even trying to say here
bl4nk presses advantages harder than a lot of other pockets. He also likes to push on smaller advantages than many other pockets as well. Dry pushes off of minimal advantages require your medic to have really good movement and escape strategies. That whole part was poorly worded - I'll fix that.
fsXDare you serious
Sadly, yes. It's just my personal opinion being a very aggressive medic myself.
Shade and pyyyour have been top class for a while now, but it's important to note that they've both been on some of the greatest NA teams EVER.
Mesr is always fun to watch.
I know I'm going to get made fun of for this, but neither of those three are the most impressive medic in NA right NOW.
I honestly believe that Nosferatu is absolutely brilliant considering that he plays on a hyper-aggressive team. His effeciency and ability to save vital ubers are almost unmatched in today's game. bl4nk and Von play a style that demands him to be creative when staying alive on Mad Men's dry pushes as well as escaping from dozens of deadly places - and all this guy has done is put on the hard hat and perform at a high level. Criminally underrated player that will never get the respect he deserves for how well he plays in his environment. Teams can be built around guys like that.
Feel free to add me if things get really desperate on your end. I know dingo, and I wouldn't mind helping fill in for him if you can't find any other qualified guys for this.
Bumping.
S14 just finished for my team (with a win :D). I'm available to trial from Sunday to Thursday. Please give me a day's notice so that I can remember to be online to trial.
MultipleEntendreTo be fair, the team space rang for actually offered him a spot on their team. The only reason he isn't already IM is because he made the very mature and selfless decision to stick through our team's struggles and finish out the season. Had he taken the offer, this silly debate over whether space is IM material would be moot.
I stand corrected.
alec_i love griff
Is this the same griff that pugs with us on weekends?
spaceghostpurrpBasically I think what dingo said is true it's just playing against better competition. It's not like I'm making a baseless claim I've ringed for IM teams before as demo and done very well. I wish all the people down fragging would say something.
Most good open players rang for an IM team or two at some point this past season. Furthermore, I'd hazard a guess and say that at least half of them performed very well considering they were ringing a division UP from their own.
Successfully ringing for an IM team does not pre-qualify you to be a 16 game starter for a decent IM team that could very well wind up in an Invite poll if they play to their capacity (not that they'd go up, but we've seen this happen before).
Please note that I'm not trying to marginalize you here - I just don't want to see you base important team decisions off of a common misconception.
I don't have too many complaints about him as a teammate (whenever I've pugged with him), but I do think he tends to play chokes a little too hard (which jeopardizes his teammates on certain maps). He isn't chill - he's very vocal when it comes to his thoughts. Don't worry though as he also isn't obnoxious or overly ragey, either.
I think that he's firmly on the Open/IM borderline right now. He'd do VERY well on a contending Open team next season - but would probably have a rocky entry into IM.
He's made some strides and is just one more season away from glory. As someone who likes this kid, I fully believe that one final Open run on a title contender will give him the opportunities and time he needs to develop his game so that he can become a GOOD IM demoman when he makes the jump. He might have the quality now to make a lower IM team, but I wonder if that's the best for him.
...but I also could be wrong. Good luck spaceghostpurrp.
Needs to be around five supportive teammates that will fuel him on if he gets a little down on himself. He's a high open player provided he joins the correct team (that's an important condition here). He's rather excellent if he keeps his head on his shoulders and looks towards the next play - and not the play before.
Once he gets to know you (or if he already knows you), you'll begin to see he has a big heart. Trial him and see if he fits the system you run.
He's a very pleasant person to play with.
