Before uninstalling did you do something along the lines of defaulting the settings in the radeon pro's cfg?

Try to delete ClientRegistry.blob in your steam folder, when my steam starts to go loco, I do that.
MGEMikehow do i remove the 3d player avatar? like i used cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel 0 but everytime i launch the game its still there and i have to hud_reloadscheme to remove it...
nvm fix
remaxxdrdonutmanIf you really care about colors then get an ips because it's impossible for any tn panel to even come close.I'm not doing any photo or video editing so I don't need perfect colors. In fact, I think I'd enjoy a higher refresh rate compared to "wow" colors.
I'm just wondering if the colors bother anyone when they're doing general computer tasks, like watching a Youtube video, or writing some code.
Well I have a XL2411T, the colors are sharp but the way they get blended in is awful, the shading is just blocky. But for games it's decent/good, sadly I got a shitty panel so I get scanning lines if I use strobe light or go above 120hz
Well looking at some comparisons, the XL2420TE has better colors. The performance is give or take the same.
But the VG248QE, has from what I can see, some kind of a upgrade to it, when nvidias G-sync will be released and that supposedly will remove any input lag in any game.
EDIT: Personally I think I would get the ASUS one :>
remaxxBlackMirrorAh idk it only has 8ms response time and 60hz.Would a Benq 144hz (or 120hz maybe) monitor be good for general use, such as movies, web browsing, etc.? I was thinking about getting a monitor with a high refresh rate but it was sounding like I'd enjoy a nice IPS more. With a Benq, are the colors horrible, or are they around average and just "horrible" when compared to an IPS?
Heared that the colors on it look really good though.
Id go for a Benq instead.
The new XL 2420TE is pretty much the best performance monitor with the best colors from BENQ atm.
But that one is expensive as hell
KanecoBeware even with a beast cpu you will gonna face some problems, tf2 is a very poorly optimized game overall and even I with an i7 3770k get huge fps issues sometimes.
dis
Everyone can come into competitive 6v6 or 9v9.
No one is amazing when they start with a competitive game, it takes practise.
You may try tf2lobby.com, to just see how the 6v6 or 9v9 surroundings feel to you but tf2lobby is without a mumble/teamspeak so there is no communication in that. You may try the beta website tf2center.com, which uses mumble to communicate with your team mates. There are call outs for every map, I don't know how to help with this part, maybe there is a site with call outs listed somewhere.
Best thing is to just try, if someone says you did that or that wrong you should take time to think about what you could have done better in that situation.
Which class would you like to start with? :/
2sy_morphiendLike 500$ total in gift cards etc. from my extended family
New computer chair
i5 2500k
new mobo
america again/underachiever's guide to mediocrity
broken tier guilty gear shirt
new pajama bottoms/slippers
and just ordered the rest of my new computer as a gift to myself. Once everything's here I'll probably look to give away my old computer parts on here for anyone that runs a shittier rig than myself.
I just got to eat loads of food :o
Overclocking won't really improve your CPU all that much, it's all down to the architecture of the CPU that delivers the power of the thing. (only if you have like high performance ram, gpu and cpu, then some overclocking would help it to give it the maximum ammount of performance)
Yes, a GPU upgrade will increase your FPS, it's just that if you would have a quadcore CPU, your computer could utilize a lot more of that GPU's power.
So lets say you buy the 760, it will give you a significant performance increase over your current GPU, but then later on you really should buy a new CPU with that a new Motherboard or vice versa.
Which ever one you care to take you should get a fps upgrade in TF2 and in most games.
What exactly is wrong with it, besides the main menu, but if you delete those files, it works at least to my knowledge besides the messed up scoreboard.(used it for the last 4 or 5 months)
Edit: or the winpanel, I mean it isn't horrible but I guess updating it would be nice.
Seems like you should get a little more money and build a new one.
If you do end up going with a 760 that CPU will hold back it's potential power and overall performance. Since it's a 1156 socket it would be quite smart to already go with a newer gen i5 or maybe switch to an AMD CPU.
Looking at the GPU side of things, looks like the 465 is a down clocked 460 of some sort. It shouldn't be horrible with TF2 but I personally feel like a CPU upgrade is in a bigger need than a GPU.
Personally I would say a new PC would be a lot better over upgrading your current build :)
