Das ultimate is awesome, I got it a month ago and its pretty amazing. Yeah besides the keys its glossy, but it wasn't that noticeable except for the day I got it. I don't really see it getting horribly smudged personally.

If you're a slob don't get it, otherwise I'd say its a good purchase, works well and looks nice.

I only used the homepage of natf2, I liked how it aggregated the recent topics under each sub section, but this topics page think posted is cool, too.

If you're against doing that, maybe extending the latest threads (from 10) on the left sidebar could work as well.
