raikurock-lower LOD
Really, even lower LOD ? I have an EC1 evo on a SS heavy pad. If it would be even lower, it would be pretty much unusable.

Lift Off Distance

Like it was expected, the LOD is very low. I love it, and everyone who liked the previous Zowies will feel right at home too. It is a bit higher than with my older IR-LED FK’14, but still very low. It still tracks at one CD but not at two. The old FK didn't even track at one CD height.

There is a novelty with the FK1 too. As many on this forum already know the 3310 allows for LOD to be customised. But normally you would need Software to adjust it to your liking. As Zowies philosophy is to not have software but change everything on the mouse directly this seems to be impossible on Zowies. But apparently it’s not.

There are methods to adjust LOD on the FK1 similar to how you change the polling rate on it.

The standard LOD out of the box is adjusted for cloth pads to be around 1.5 - 1.8 mm. However this would mean a higher LOD on a plastic pad (2.2 - 2.4 mm). To enable “plastic mouse pad mode” you have to hold Button 4 and Button 2 (back button on the side and right mouse button) while plugging the FK1 in. This causes the LOD to be around 1.5 - 1.8 mm on a plastic mouse pad (and around 1 mm on a cloth mouse pad)

To switch back to “cloth mouse pad mode” you have to plug it in while holding Button 4 and Button 1 (back button on the side and left mouse button).

Now there is also the so called “original mode”. This sets the LOD to be on a standard level and therefore should optimize the mouse compatibility for players with special material mousepads. It will have higher LOD than all other settings. So this is useful for those players who prefer a higher LOD (looking at you Dontspamme). You get the “original mode” by holding Button 4, 1 and 2 at the same time while plugging the FK1 in.

After setting the LOD once you don’t have to set it again every time you plug in the mouse, similar to the polling rate. I think it’s very nice that Zowie implemented a way to adjust LOD with the FK1 without software. You might not be able to finetune, but I think “low” and “high” LOD should be fine for most players anyway.

My experience with the modes:

Cloth mode on Qck+: 1 CD
Plastic mode on Qck+: did not track at 1 CD hight
Original mode: 2 CD

Only with original mode would the FK track on white paper.

Actually isn't lower but it's adjustable

#6 Recommend me a Zowie in Hardware

seems like the G502 has a better sensor than any mouse now available (zowie mice included), besides that, its gimmicky look (useless buttons and everything) and its price are big problems for a lot of players, anyway the best zowie for you would probably be the EC since you've had only dextrous mice (g500/s g502), but as i said in another post on this forum, there's probably a refresh for the EC series coming out, by refresh i mean they'll probably mount the new 3310 (Fk1's sensor) which is the best sensor zowie used on its mice this far, on new ECs, this means no odd CPI steps anymore, lower LOD, faster in terms of m/s

CHERRYYou still played there 2 weeks constantly complaining on the chat about maps, number of slots, other players, basically everything, don't you feel like you might've been that thing that was wrong?

i prolly complained about number of slots, and about rules, maps... mmh i just think metalworks shouldn't be in the map pool anymore, i've never complained about players, maybe just that ppl tryhard, but that's common with every server i guess, now prove that you're smart, guess why i played on your server for 2 weeks "constantly" as you say

#18 New Call of Duty, is anyone following updates? in Other Games
Foxrock-are you serious?i bought brink on launch and 100% the game

i am capable of anything

brink looked much better and less bullshit than this honestly...

WintersunIf they announced things like:

Mod Support
Dedicated Servers
Dev Console
Ways to disable killstreaks/annoying shits
Custom Maps

Then I'm sure people would be all over it.

they didn't and i think they won't since this game is console rubbish and it's not for competitive scene at all

Thanks!!! all i care is, overall required money, pc rental (60 or more hz monitor, i don't care), a good place to sleep at, and pretty much what you said "Its about having fun, meeting friends, getting drunk and playing games - in that order pretty much" i don't care if it's serious or about the prizes, or fast internet towards outside, i just hope the switches and the routers are set properly to have a good LAN experience. looking forward to hear more info

Yeah there wont be any pc rental for this lan as Hallow pointed out.

The sleeping area is quite big, it can house around 150 people I'd say, its downstairs of the venue which is like this big room made for dancing with a small stage. The actual venue is actually a music hall of sorts, if its gonna be the same place as its been previously.
Also I think there is a hotel not very far from there, not sure though.

The routing has never been a problem before. :)

i was referring to i52, as in the beginning they had problems and tftv couldn't stream some matches properly, anyway thanks for the infos, will see if me and some other pasta fags can come :)

#18 Best zowie mouse for palm grip? in Hardware

if you're about to get an EC a guy on overclock.net suggested me to wait because zowie will probably refresh the EC series using the same sensor used on FK1 (PMW3310H), wich is slightly better than the one EC mice use now (A3060 and A3090 for the EC eVo series)
