TF2 keybinds make it less necessary to see what you're pressing, so no need for light. I usually have my light on when playing other keybind intensive games.
While I think in general certain unlocks add to many issues to the game, understanding the impact of these items in a meta can't be determined without actually having them cycled into normal seasons. 45 minutes of pugs is not indicative of their impact. I hope people will abuse these items to their advantage or recognize they do not grant an advantage, so that we can go beyond the not-so-thorough playtesting and actually see what it does. Mason said it best, if you risk winning your division using these weapons, or not, for money, that gives us our answer as to whether they're impactful
glassa lot of casters in the tf2 community do a word-heavy radio-style broadcast, but tf2 is the equivalent of tv -- viewers can see what's happening. so casters shouldn't list every single thing they see. during chaotic fights no one can speak that fast anyway.
try to complement what the viewer is seeing on-screen, instead of obscuring it. sideshow was the best at this.
There's a big challenge in making this happen in practice, mostly because the producer has to evaluate what is currently on their screen, what the caster is speaking about, and what is actually happening in the match, to capture what the viewers see.
Additionally, several casters, myself included, do third person view whenever casting, so it becomes commonplace to narrate what we see via bird's-eye, rather than from the first person perspective (for example) of the scout/soldier about to get ubered through a choke. I sometimes try to make the perspective shift so that casting becomes more in tune with the push and (hopefully) the camera, but overall it's challenging to coordinate caster + camera during the cast, concurrently.
Just as a preface, the posting of scheduled matches was so often short notice not only because Console was doing so much work for RGB in the early season, but also University stuff in the later season. We provide all this coverage and work out of our time, but we can't always make it a priority.

To this end, I've recently considered what would happen if Needles functioned similar to Crossbow, where the projectiles heal teammates. It would need number tweaking (similar to tweaking the current numbers of the crossbow), but it would at least give each primary weapon a utility.

I went through the same process for Original, and really it's just getting a feel for where the rockets come from (which is the middle).
Jump maps helped me improve my Original jumps, but it's essentially turn more when shooting from the right
