this isn't necessarily true. last week i was playing with europeans who wanted to play in the eu cup, so i changed my region to eu so that we could all party together. as an entirely eu-regioned party we were able to add to the us cup. i wasn't aware of this breaking any rules but it let us play so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We are not at the 1515 S Coast Dr location, we are at the 2721 Hotel Terrace location.

Here's what happened.

The original hotel given to us by La Quinta was in Costa Mesa. IF YOU BOOKED AT THIS ADDRESS IN COSTA MESA, TRANSFER YOUR RESERVATION-
1515 S Coast Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

As soon as I found out, I asked them to move it to the correct location we had originally requested (in Santa Ana, closer to the venue) the price went up to $99/night. Someone noticed this price is actually higher than the handicapped ADA rooms they're offering on their website, so I asked them to clarify why our group rate was higher than their own rate. Evidently we blocked all their regular rooms with our group rate, and the ADA ones are actually cheaper than the regular rooms, so $99 is the rate we get. We have up to 25 rooms at this location blocked off to book until the new year (well, 24, I just booked one). She also told me some people have already tried to book the rate and it didn't work, but it will work now. If you want to take the cheaper rate, you can do that, it doesn't hurt anything.

To book in our block, call 1-800-642-4239, Option 1. Ask for Orange County - Santa Ana, 2721 Hotel Terrace location. The special rate is still under Rewind.

Just to clarify there is a ceiling to the YouStake deal, it's up to $5k, and it's only $1 per individual that donates. I'm still very optimistic that we can reach this goal if enough people are willing to spend the time creating accounts and paying the $1.33.

Crowdfunding is also open, for TF2 80% of funds will go to Invite and 20% will go to Open. We've added some spicy perks to the package, if you have any questions on a specific perk please let me know.

Youstake will give $1 for every person who donates, so even if you give $1 (plus a $0.33 processing fee), they will give $1. Just enter the amount you want to donate into the "Specified Amount $" field and click the "Support Now" button. Note that you'll need to sign up for a Youstake account and provide a phone number/address for age and payment verification before you can donate. It only takes a few minutes, and puts extra money in the prizepool so donate the $1.33 if you can.

Edit: Additional information for captains
To register a team for the 6v6 Open tournament, go to Dashboard > Manage my teams > Build a new team.
You'll need to create the team name and enter player's names and e-mails before you can register to pay the entry fee.
