Can't wait to see how this impacts cole's pyramid
Parents can be dumb, but you gotta play by their rules if you want anything from them. Cut the alcohol out of your life and get some sort of job, and hopefully they'll be a bit more understanding.
Otherwise, you might save up enough to get out on your own. Jobs are hard, but keep going at it. The bike suggestion is very good.
tetrominooh boy, another thing people can make fun of you about
it's not any worse than counting match stats in esea except you have the excuse of "its not a match lol who cares"
Ugc highlander has been doing these for a long time, and it's literally just watching a pug. It's not going to be very fun for the players or the spectators.
i reported this via the suggestion thing on the site, but Supplemental Stats already reports real damage, you just need to change the log parser to actually use that information
wareyaHow good is the QB launcher against scouts?
I'd prefer it to stock, but since it takes more shots to kill and you have less shots, you're probably gonna be empty when the scout fights you.
why did you color the bald guy's scalp red? he looks like a match
bl4nkAre there actually still people who don't think scout is the best 6s class?
I agree with you, but only if we're talking about online. I think 6v6 LAN play is incredibly balanced between the classes at the highest level of comp.
Obviously most tf2 is online, but if you balance things around a certain general ping, then does that make LAN unbalanced? It's a hard problem to solve, but I think targeting LAN as the pinnacle of class balance is probably the best thing for comp, and I'd argue that we're pretty damn close to that right now.
DaggerThe main concern with demoman was that stickies do too much damage, I don't know why they didn't just reduce damage by around 10% or reduce clip size, or a variation of both; I think that would have been suffice.
i find this really interesting, because

the quickie bomb launcher has both of those downsides. It's like Valve knew that a slightly weaker sticky bomb launcher with a smaller clip size would be good, but they took it too far and added some attributes that really don't have much synergy to give it a definite role.
i would like for quickie bombs to see use for clearing traps and some weird long-range kritz stuff, but without kritz i don't see them doing much.
TC, I have no idea how much experience you have so i'm going to break it down in a really basic way.
In short, play pugs when you can, and play your choice of DM or MGE if there are no pugs or you don't feel like pugging. Pubbing is just a for fun thing, as you won't learn a whole lot, but it is better than nothing.
PUGs are ideal except for two factors
1. there are respawn times, stalemates, scout rollouts, etc where you're not practicing anything much at all, and there are in-between times where you're not learning anything. however, you're learning REAL 6v6/9v9 gameplay things that matter and will directly improve your match play
2. you need to be in mumble with members of the tf2 community, which has the potential to be really good or really bad
MGE forces you to try really hard, which makes it really intense and probably the most effective aim trainer.
downsides: Many people play to win MGE instead of playing to practice, so you get some ridiculous strategies that won't come up in real games. In addition, plenty of people will either call you shit for winning or call you shit for losing. If you're not a highly competitive person, you will probably prefer DM.
DM is a lot like MGE, except the group combat discourages stupid, unrealistic strategies, and it's easier to drop in and out with no down time searching for an arena.
downsides: you don't have to be good to get kills, i.e. shoot backs, cleanup on damage, spam chokes. make sure you're actually practicing your aim and not your ability to splash groups of people.
Pubs can be OK if you're actually doing something exciting, but there are sentries/crits/heavies that put a stop to your gameplay and create tedium. These things that end the practice are out of your control, which makes pubs nearly useless. That, and sometimes the opposition puts down dispensers and can't figure out how to get past them, and trying hard against them is just pointless.
Hydro is a really cool guy, so please give him a shot for your team!
Frost_Bite_KermitLooking good so far, can't wait to see the final product. Also no random crits, fixed weapon spreads, hitsounds, and damage numbers.
Also wasn't it a community request that the stopwatch and tournament modes were added to the game?
IIRC that was all thanks to enigma, but I could be wrong there.
this, valve has done a lot for us since release. They could have done a lot more, but i'm glad they maintained the game. A lot of us would not be playing it if we had never been given hats, mvm, payload, pretty much every map, viewmodel fov slider, hundreds of weapons, and made the game free.'
Thanks valve, but like, can we talk about the short circuit
goatwhisker biscuit is the epitome of sperg
these chat logs are generally private conversions that were cherry picked and shared, so it's not fair to judge a person based off of these.
everyone has bad moments, just most of us are lucky enough to not have them publicized
I knew him from a pub community way back, and he was definitely one of the best scouts that was a regular there. One time, he capped the intel 3 times in a row without even stopping.
hooli are you actually trying to make the worst possible thread?
